Chapter 12-Maxine

I woke up in a strange looking bed with only a lady dressed in white watching over me.I stood up to go find out where i was but she tried to stop me,i pushed her away and walked as fast as my legs could take me,i was feeling really weak and everything else felt weird.
I finally saw bright lights coming from outside,it wasn't day time at all which didn't seem normal.I had been asleep for what felt like the longest time and the scene of finding Alex mercilessily shotting someone rendered me unconscious.
I woke up to find a familiar face staring at me with worry written all over his face.I gripped the duvet tighter when i noticed the guy in black suit was actually Alex.
"It's you,you killed that man"I said
"Relax Maxine,you're safe.He was the person that planned the attack that nearly killed you today"Alex explained but i wasn't ready to listen
"Why should i believe you when you were the one with the gun?who the hell are you"I asked
"I'll explain but first you need to rest.The nurse told me you have a heart disease and it's getting critical"He said
"What...no,that's not true.I won't listen to you,you might get me killed as well"I said
"I'm a mafia don,a gangster if you translate and i'm trying to keep you away from danger so i brought you to Italy"He said
"From where i'm standing,you seem to be the danger"I said
"I'm sorry i didn't tell you when we first met,i didn't worse things would happen"He said
"I'm almost dead Alex so finish the job if you please"I said standing up from the bed
"Maxine,i'm sorry about all of this"He said
I laughed"Why are you sorry?you clearly didn't do anything wrong.It's my fault for even nearing and trusting you,i fucked with you and  nearly ended up dead.You know what,i regret crossing paths with you..you made my life a living hell,ever since i met you it's like i was instantly cursed.You are the worst thing that ever happened to me"I said
"Maxine please that's enough,i've heard enough"He said
"Fine then but do me a favour a stay away from me.Alex,book me a flight back home"I said
"I can't do that Max"He bluntly reply looking me right in the eye
I almost fell over but he held me still while my brain tried to access the situation.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!"I screamed and Zain ran in
"Alex,is everything...ok"Zain asked but went silent
"It's ok Zain,we're talking"He replied
"Take your friend along with you Zain"I said
"Just go Zain,i'll be right out"He said and Zain left
"What do you want from me Alex"I asked
"To explain but you clearly don't want to believe me,take your time and think about it"He said and turned to leave
"Wait....can i talk to my friends,i need them to know i'm alive and safe"I said
"Not now.I can't risk getting tracked to my home"He said
"Is that what you care about,your home"I asked
"No,i care about you"He replied and left without looking back
I laid back on the bed and the nurse came in to give me my medications.Theresa entered after she was done and left.
"Maxine,how are you"Theresa asked as she sat beside me
I sat up and gave her a light smile"I'm good,how are you"I asked
"Good but you don't look ok.What's wrong"She asked with a look of concern
"It's Alex,Theresa.I argued with him,he hid the fact that he was a gangster from me and it almost killed me"I paused seeing her expression
Theresa looked so quiet and her facial expression was more concerning.
"You knew all this while didn't you?.And you didn't tell me"I said disappointed
"I'm sorry dear,i'm strictly forbidden from giving out such information"She said
I couldn't blame her,gangsters were always secretive about their lifestyle but Alex let me in.
"You knew about what he does for a living and you still worked for him"I asked
"He helped me out alot and he needed a consistent help"She replied
"Why is he keeping me here then"I asked
"Dear,Alex isn't the type of guy that keeps or even helps strangers but for him to have saved you and brought you here,it means you're somewhat special to him and he won't want to risk losing you,even Alex went through alot these past years and he doesn't want to relive the past.It's been years since Alex brought a woman into his home,maybe he likes you"She said
I was the one that confessed my feelings to him,he never reciprocated my love and he said he never will.Why was he suddenly so worried about me?,it's not like i mattered to him afterall we weren't even dating.
"Max dear"Theresa called out
"Yes"I said a bit hesistantly
"What's wrong dear,did i say something wrong"She asked
"No,no.Not at all"I said
"Have something to eat,i'll bring you a glass of warm milk"She said and left
I felt uneasy and angry at myself,i judged him so much without trying to understand him and maybe he was scared of something he couldn't admit to anyone.Although feeling a bit lightheaded,i left the room in search of Alex.He wasn't in the study or in the garden or in the terrace but luckly i found him in his room,he was shirtless and i could see the bruises all over his chest and back.
"You're ment to be in bed,what do you want"Alex asked before i could even utter a word and it scared me
"I'm sorry Alex,i judged you without trying to understand how you felt.I know you were just worried for me and i get that now,i was scared...i didn't know you before but now i do and i completely trust you"I said trying to get a hold of wall
"Are you ok"He asked getting a hold of me
"I'm not ok Alex,i'm so sorry for how i behaved with you earlier"I said in tears and hugged him
We stayed in that position for a while and he didn't move an inch.He barely responded to my touch,he was still as ice.
"It's fine baby girl,no offence taken.You need your rest"He said seperating from me
"Alex,i really need you"I said staring deep into his eyes
"I wish i could say the same baby girl but i can't.Why do you want me when i can't reciprocate your feelings"He asked
"I don't care.I respond to only your touch and it's you i need"I said
"Go to your room Max,we'll talk later"He said
I pulled him into a kiss and wrapped my hands around his neck making sure not to let go.I felt him hard against me once his hands were wrapped round my waist and he put me down on the bed.
I went for his belt and began to remove it as we kissed but then a hand held mine and stopped me.I looked up at Alex and saw him nod in disagreement.
"We can't baby girl,not now.I need to know you're fine before engaging you in any kind of stress"He said as he left me
"As it is,i'm perfectly fine Alex"I said
"No,you're not fine.You've been here for only two days"He said
"Why the fuck do you worry do much about me"I asked
"I don't worry about you,i simply care about you Max"He said
"Basically the same thing"I said
"How eager are you Max"He asked
I stood on the bed and held his shoulder crossing my hands.
"Very eager"I replied and placed his hands on me
"You're wet,so wet for me.Still Max"He retorted
"I'm fine Alex now fuck me like you mean it"I said pulling him to bed
"You are one strongheaded girl"He said with a smile
"I'm always going to win"I said and went in for a kiss.
"Not always"He said and i laughed

It made me blush and i could sense the hunger in his tone which had me eagerly obeying every word he said.
"Hands on the bed and spread those beautiful legs"He said sounding more sexier than usual
After what felt like hours,he growls as he pulls out me and puts my legs foen from his shoulder.The fact that he isn't that gentle turns me on the more and makes me more eager.I bite my lower lip and take what he give,loving every bit of how it feels.I find myself growing wetter every damn second with each thrust...Fuck,it feels good.No man has ever made me feel this good and i love it.

I used the washroom and a while later,we both fell asleep
