Chapter 14

"Cannonball" The shouting little says as she jumps from a chair and onto the rug. After last nights events Sam woke up little, desperately trying to forget everything that happened.

"Sam, you've already broken your arm please don't break anything else. So that means no more jumping." Amelia says. The woman knows she has to get all of Sam's energy out before the long trip to their house, but she still has so much packing to do.

The girl doesn't pay much attention to Amelia and proceeds to hop on the chair again but chooses to dive on the bed this time. But instead of landing on the cushy mattress she landed on a small toy robot that hit her face first.

Sam immediately grabbed her forehead taking a minute before full out sobbing as she sat on the bed. Amelia was over in a flash, throwing the clothes she was folding onto the floor.

"Awww baby, what happened?" Amelia asks before removing the girls hand to get a good look. Sam looks up teary eyed but can quite get anything out due to the loud sobs spewing out her mouth.

Amelia notes the small cut right above her eyebrow before getting a Spider-Man bandaid from the bedside table to put over top the wound. She gives a gentle kiss on top the bandaid and picks up her girl to comfort. Once the crying stopped she knew what was next.

"Sammy what did mommy ask you to do?" Amelia asks while putting the reluctant little on the bed while looking down sternly.

Sam only shrugs her shoulders looking down and her feet guiltily. The woman's finger curls her pointer finger around Sam's chin forcing her to make eye contact. She waits for the girl to say something to explain herself as to why she directly disobeyed her.

"Not to jump" Sam pitifully mutters out on the verge of tears again.

"And why did I ask you not to jump?" The woman says to leave no room for confusion.

"Cause I could get hurt" Sam shamefully breaks eye contact with the woman upset that her mommy never let her have fun.

Amelia picks up the girl placing her in the corner after knowing the girl was physically fine. Once the girl realizes what's happening she breaks down into tears again. She hated the corner, having to stand still for that long while staring at nothing pained her soul.

"The timer doesn't start til you stop crying" Amelia says while picking up the green overalls to continue folding.

It takes a minute for Sam to calm herself doing the breathing techniques Amelia had showed her but eventually her sobs turned to sniffles.

"10 minutes starting now" Amelia says starting a timer.

Worst ten minutes of Sam's life but soon enough the timer goes off and Amelia turns the girl around.

"Good girl" Amelia praises as she kisses the top of Sam's head. The girl melts at the words and soon feels very needy. Making grabby hands wanting to be held, the woman caves and puts the little on her hip.

Sam nuzzles into Amelia's neck breathing in deeply feeling very tired. The woman knew Sam's nap time was coming up and was trying to hold the girl off til the long car trip. With everything packed and ready to go all they had to do was wait for Rory to get there.

Bouncing the little, she desperately tries to keep her awake for another 15 minutes. Sam groans annoyed just wanting to cuddle and sleep but the woman knew better than to let the raging ADHD girl trapped in the car for that long.

Soon enough Rory pops through the door and that was enough to make Sam's head pop up. Excitedly she reaches for Rory finding herself missing the alpha and craving her presence.

"Hi pup, I missed you!" Rory says cradling Sam in her arms. Sam only gives a small grunt before soaking in the smell of Rory, it was very distinct and she loved it.

"You all ready to go?" Rory asks Amelia before planting a kiss on her lips.

"Yep everything is packed and Angie should be loading everything up now." Amelia says as the three head out the door and down the hallway.

"Rory you load Sam up I'm gonna say goodbye to Calum" Amelia says before she splits off from the two.

"Just you and me now pup" Rory says kissing the half asleep girl in her arms. Loading her up in the car she places Sam in her car seat watching her head roll back onto the cushion before buckling her up.

Rory felt elated that her and Amelia were finally bringing their baby home. Although Rory knew she was gonna have to work extra hard to become Sam's favorite. It's not fair Amelia had the girl all to herself these last three weeks, but she was determined to turn the little into a mamas girls.

Eventually Amelia rounds the car wiping a stray tear from her cheek after saying goodbye to her old friend. Once in the car she looks back to see Sam sleeping softly and knew that the timer began before she woke up, bringing chaos into the quiet car.

About 3 hours in the little was just starting to wake up and was get fidgety. They had about 1 hour left of the drive so they decided to stop to get some food and lucky inside there was an indoor playground.

"No playing til you finish your food Sammy" Amelia said with the girl on her lap. Sam groans out annoyed she had to finish her chicken nuggets before playing. It was difficult to do when you had a great view of the whole playground calling your name. Sam takes a bite before putting it down to stare longingly at the playground while fidgeting in the woman's hold.

"How about we let you play if you promise to finish all your food after" Rory says while watching Sam nod her head fervently and ignored the glare she was getting from Amelia.
Amelia slightly loosens her hold and Sam takes that as her opportunity to rush to the door.

"I will not put Sam over my knee but don't think that you'll get that same privilege" Amelia says death staring Rory as she takes a huge bit of her burger with a smirk on her face.

"I know, but someone has to be the fun parent" Rory says smugly.

"Mhm. You won't be the fun one when you make her come out of their to finish her food" Amelia now the one smirking knowing Rory's gonna have to be the one chasing her through the tunnels and dealing with the tantrum. Rory's face immediately turned to worry watching her wife laugh at her.

Once both finished their meals and by meals I mean feast. Rory at 4 burgers, two large fries, and 20 nuggets. The woman always had a huge appetite and could constantly eat without taking a hit to her muscular physique.

"What ya waiting for?" Amelia asks. Rory looks hesitantly at the playground.

"She's just a little girl won't be that hard" Rory tries to sound confident but it sounds more like a question.

Walking through the door she looks around for that short brown haired little. Spotting her in the ball pit laughing as she goes to climb up the ladder the woman walks over.

"Come on Sammy it's time to go and finish your yummy nuggets" Rory tries to convince.

"Nu" Sam replies before running off into a tunnel. Rory sighs before chasing after the girl but not before bonking her head on the top on the tunnel.

"Sammy you will come here right now" Rory does her best alpha voice but soon remembers that it hardly ever works on littles and the fact Sam's never been in a pack to understand hierarchy makes it futile.

Rory takes a big sniff in the air to track down the hiding girl, pinpointing her location. Once closes the girl tries to run again but Rory already has her arms wrapped around her waist.

"Nuuu I wan play" Sam cries out clawing at the woman's grasp. Sam screaming brought a lot of stares from others but the worst was from Amelia as she was trying her best to keep in her laugh. The two sit down as Rory begs Amelia with her eyes to help.

"Sammantha that is enough" Amelia tone is final. The girl stops with a huff before picking up the rest of her nuggets to eat.

Afterwards they load back up in the car to continue their drive home while Sam played with an etch a sketch until finally arriving at the house.
