" It is nice to meet you, your highnesses. I am King Caelus of Vireluna and this is Queen Althea of Vireluna. " King Caelus, as he called himself, introduced himself and Queen Althea to us with courtesy.

" I am King Valeric and this is Queen Isolde. Nice to meet you too. Welcome to the kingdom of Sylverna,"King Valeric, my father, also introduced.

They sat at the dinner table which was very elaborately decorated. The meal was exquisite and looked very delicious but Mira and I were only given cookies.

I remembered the words of the system as soon as they arrived and it made me wonder what they had come for if not just a visitation.

[The kingdom of Vireluna is almost as powerful as Sylverna, but for centuries, the two kingdoms were rivals with Sylverna always been the more powerful. Their magic outmatched that of Vireluna. They were at war once, but they eventually made a peace agreement. ]

" Wow, we just heard of the birth of the new twins. May we know the names of these adorable children? " Queen Althea said after a long silence that seemed unbreakable.

" Well, this is Aria, the older twin, and Mira. They are three years old. " Queen Isolde replied to her.

<Why do you get to be the older twin? > Mira was paying attention to the conversation of the king and queen in front of us.

<I am more mature, duh.>

" They look adorable" King Caelus admired us.

Mira and I were still arguing when King Valeric suddenly dropped his cutlery halfway through the dinner. He looked straight at King Caelus, and I knew where this was going.

" King Caelus, why don't you just get straight to the point. You must have come here for a specific reason. Stop beating about the bush. "

" Well, I couldn't just bring up the topic like that. Why are you so suspicious? Couldn't I have come to see your children?" King Caelus was still cool and collected and acted as if nothing was wrong.

" Didn't you hear me? I said just go straight to the point quickly! " King Valeric was really annoyed and was getting a little too angry. I guessed our kingdom must have tricked theirs years ago and our King was trying to be more careful.

" Okay, fine. You asked. But first, send your servants and maids from here. They are interrupting. "

Queen Isolde quickly ordered the servants and maids to excuse us. They of course didn't care about our presence disturbing them because we weren't expected to understand. But we did anyways.

" You know, the kingdom of Vireluna has always been the second most powerful Kingdom, of course followed by yours, Sylverna. But we are losing power. Our magical emerald is losing magic and we are weakening. We need your help. We have kept this a secret for the past three months and you are the first that we have told. " King Caelus explained in agony.

" And how are we expected to believe you? Give us proof! " King Valeric couldn't help but be suspicious of them but the other royals had already prepared in advance for this. He took a cup of water and held it up in his hands.

" Let me demonstrate. You know my magic to remove objects from existence. " He gripped the cup in his hands and it slowly faded away after what seemed to be eternity.

There was a long silence afterwards and the king of Sylverna was shocked.

[Let me show you how his magic used to be]

My vision went blurry again, and I saw myself elsewhere. There was war between the kingdom of Vireluna and Sylverna.

I saw the king of Sylverna with a spear in his hand. As he was about to thrust it through King Caelus, the latter destroyed the magical spear with just a little touch, compared to now, that he had to hold the cup for ages before it was gone.

My vision blurred again, and I found myself back in the same dining room; everything was exactly as it had been when I left. It was as if a pause button had been pressed while I was gone, only to be unpaused upon my return.

My vision cleared, and the scene resumed with King Valeric still wearing a shocked expression.

Queen Isolde was equally surprised, but soon after, she looked pleased about the whole situation. Couldn't blame her.
Imagine your enemies of centuries losing power and coming to beg for help. It would be delightful.

King Valeric became calm again and looked at Queen Isolde as if to ask her for advice, but she looked away immediately and left everything for him to decide.

Mira who was normally always loud was quiet and paying even more attention than before. She didn't even laugh or cry.

" And what do you want us to do? " He asked them slightly teasingly.

" This request of ours might sound too greedy, but please grant us our request. " King Caelus said, and Queen Althea nodded in agreement.

" Go on. "

"We... want to ask you to share a portion of your... precious ruby gem to aid our magic," King Caelus said, his head bowed, barely able to finish his sentence.

King Valeric's response was hilarious. He laughed so hard that tears streamed down his face.

As if that wasn't enough humiliation, Mira began to laugh and giggle. Her laughter was so infectious that I couldn’t help but join in, while Queen Isolde smiled so broadly that I wondered if it hurt to stretch her lips that wide.

<I don't really understand what they mean by emerald and ruby but it's just funny how pathetic they look> My annoying twin sent while still laughing.

<I think it's an object that causes the magic to flow through us and theirs is loosing power. >

I replied and wondered if she would ever stop laughing, as it was truly embarrassing for King Caelus and Queen Althea.

They likely assumed that Mira and I were laughing just because we heard King Valeric laugh.

" Well, nothing goes for nothing. What are you giving us in return? "
