I walk into my new dorm, scan the area, then choose the empty bunk on the left. Plopping myself on the bottom. I look at the other bunk. The other two guys aren't there, but they have already set up. The top bunk is plain, blue covers with nothing hanging except a picture of god knows what, since it's high up and far away, I can't tell. Probably boobs.
The other bunk is pretty much the same, except for the giant rainbow flag on the wall. Fuck. I am all for pride, but come on man, it's fucking boarding school, no need for the pride parade.
I bounce on the box spring mattress. No way in hell is that going to be comfortable. I wonder how old everyone else will be, since the guy at the desk said we will have mixed ages in our dorms. It doesn't matter, I won't be talking to any of the fucktards.
I sigh and get up, unpack into a small dresser by the foot of my bed, make my bed, place my skateboard under my bed, hang my blink 182 poster and grab my guitar and lay down. I start strumming a few chords before I fall asleep.
