I knew something was wrong. The way he flinched, it hurt way to much for it to be just a bruise. But the look in his eyes. Like he was hurting and concerned and guarding something, nearly tore me apart.

I should of stopped him then. Asked him about it, confronted him. But I kept telling myself maybe it's all in my head, he's been distant lately, but that was because he spent his life getting ready, training, or playing football. He's seemed a little stressed and under the weather, but his parents have been fighting again, and try outs are soon.

I should of confronted him.

But my mind made up fable excuses and I went along and believed them. He led me to his truck to our date. Where we ate at Olive Garden and saw the newest Avengers movie, then, we got back in his truck and he took me home, he kissed me good night. It was a good night. A great date with a great guy. I couldn't be happier. But what about him?
