Ice Cream Cake is the debut extended play released by the South Korean girl group, Red Velvet. The EP was a fine mix of the group's "red" and "velvet" sides. The EP debuted #1 on Gaon Weekly Albums chart and at #2 on Billboard's World Albums Chart.
The EP was released in two versions accompanied by double lead singles, "Automatic" and "Ice Cream Cake". Each single represented the group's duality concept. "Automatic" is a more mature R&B track whereas, "Ice Cream Cake" is a bubblegum pop song.
The lead single, "Ice Cream Cake" earned the group their first Korean music program win on Music Bank.
