Ashleys POV:

I refused to answer her questions as I grabbed her hand and walked out of the apartment, my heart beating with excitement. The sun was set and shadows littered the streets. Lanterns from windows illuminated the city and people wandered, a vastly different environment from the Etherial Kingdom.

We reached just the outskirts of the city where there  was a huge hill, I was told it was mainly used for a childrens place to play. We climbed the hill, not even breaking a sweat and stood on the top.

"okay, now will you tell me why we are here?" she questioned.

"you told me to meet you at midnight on the top of the hill in the park. So I brought you to the top of a hill at midnight, away from civilization, away from the stress, to enjoy a night." I sat down on the hill, "and do you know whats the best about the night sky here?" I asked her as she sat down with me.

"what?" "look up." I told her, her eyes stared at the night sky, littered with white speckles of light that bring light to earth. Her eyes reflected the glowing stars, her hair seemed white in comparison to the dark night. "they're beautiful aren't they?"

"not more beautiful then you." She replied, smiling at me. The full moon above us shone above us, "are you kidding? I look like a rats nest." I joke. "if you're a rats nest then I must be the goddamn sewage waste."

"at least you don't smell like it." She laughs at that, "I missed you." She says seriously. Her eyes level with mine, magnified by her glasses. "every day, every second that passed I just wished I would wake up to you, wake up from that nightmare. I missed everything about you, your smile, your laugh, your intelligence." She held my hands in hers.

"I love you, and not in a friendship way, not in a sister way, I love you Ashley and when you left it felt like a part of me left with you." I stared at her, and I heard myself respond to her, "I love you too Leyla, I really do." Those simple words felt so natural to say, so easy and it felt so natural feeling her soft lips touching my own, her long hair brushing against her ripped clothing, it felt so right for her body to be touching mine, so right for her hands to be connected with mine. Two complete oppisites sat on this hill. This hill surrounded by nature, crickets in the distance chirped and trees swayed. The city afar seemed silent as we sat staring in eachothers eyes lovingly. We may not know what to do, but as long as I have her, I'll be okay, because when im with her, everythings okay.
