I take my free hand, hold it straight out and above me, and slice downwards, opening up a tear in space-time, a portal directly back to when and where I want, even when coming from a place with no time or space at all.
"Are you ready?" I turn to Ciel, asking her like I always have.
"Always, Rimuru."
With that, we enter through it, hand-in-hand.
It is time to go home.
To face a greedy fool.

After stepping into the portal from the void at the End of Space and Time, unlike what you may have expected, we are not just immediately teleported back to the Cardinal World.
Rather, it seems like this portal is causing us to actually travel through time and space in real time, albeit, at a very accelerated rate. The light show Ciel and I, and... I guess Veldanava too...are treated to while here is truly something special.
While traveling through it, Ciel and I aren't actually physically moving, but rather, the space itself begins warping around us, a cacophony of colors causing what look like streaks of red, blue, green, yellow, purple, white, black, gold, silver, and any other color you can think of to travel past us at an incredibly fast speed.
It looks as if Ciel and I are standing within the core of a very rapidly moving vortex, staring outwards from the center of it.
Furthermore, not only is there a very impressive light show going on right now all around us, but after a few moments of standing here, voices begin to make themself known to us.
They seem to be coming from directly ahead of us, as if by simply standing in this portal we are actively traveling through the past towards our desired endpoint.
I...can make out these voices easily...they are all of my friends, allies, and even some enemies I have made and encountered along my journey so far...
After only a few moments of being in here, the first of these voices makes themself heard.
(AN: These aren't exact quotes from the manga, LN, or WN, but they're close. Just go with it lol, I didn't feel like looking up their exact wording)
"HAHAHAHA, FROM NOW ON, I SHALL BE KNOWN AS VELDORA TEMPEST!!" I'm sure you can guess who's voice this is. After all, he announced his name is such a grandiose manner... Man, that dragon really hasn't changed all that much even after all this time, huh.
