WARNING: swearing
Alex's POV:
I was up late writing. Again. There was just so much work to do and so little daytime to get it done. It was paper, after paper after paper. Honestly it's kind of draining. Tonight was a quiet night, not a sound in the apartment, well, there was one sound, coming from Lafayette's room, the faint noises of him and Hercules arguing. They argued like an old married couple. The two of them never shut up about how supposedly John and I had a thing for each other. I mean, I won't deny he's attractive, but he probably doesn't like me like that anyway. I've had too much work to worry about it anyway. I looked over at the clock... 2:56 AM. Damn, I really should get to sleep, but just after I finish this-
John's POV:
I knocked on Alex's door, knowing I wouldn't be waking him up. I'm worried. He never sleeps and works non-stop, sometimes I wonder how he's even still alive, after all he always forgets to eat and drink anything other than coffee. After I didn't get a reply I knocked again and spoke at the door in a worried and slightly irritated tone, knowing he was listening.
"Alexander, we both know you aren't asleep so open the damn door." I awaited a response. I heard him huff out a weak response: "Come in." I opened the door, with a slightly worried expression on my face. "Alex, it's almost three in the morning. Stop working. Go to bed. I'm not leaving until you actually get some fucking sleep for once."
"But I only have another page in this report, I'll be fine-" I cut him off before he could protest further.
"It's nothing you can't finish in the morning. Alex, I'm worried. How long has it been since you've actually gotten a full night of sleep?" I stated in the same worried but still irritated tone.
"I know I know but-"
"No." I protested.
"Fine, I'll sleep, mom." Alex replied jokingly.
"Shut your mouth. I'm just worried about you, okay?" I asserted, not dealing with his shit right now.
"Make me" he said jokingly.
I'd be a liar if I said my face didn't go a bit red at that, but I didn't have much time to think about the words because there was a loud CRASH noise from Lafayette's room. Oh no. Usually that meant that the current fight between Hercules and him had just gotten physical. I looked over at Alex, slightly concerned.
Alex POV:
I looked back at John, just as worried as he was. Hopefully both of them were okay...
"Should we go make sure they're not dead?" I asked.
"Yeah.... God I hope they didn't injure each other too bad..." He muttered
We got up and cautiously walked down the hall, to Lafayette's room. I knocked on the door gently, and spoke softly.
"Lafayette? Hercules? Everything alright?"
When I didn't get an answer i just opened it and froze at the sight before me.
Hercules POV:
Alright, I'll admit it. We probably should've stopped arguing after we'd both thrown something at each other, but now I stood here, staring at Lafayette with a gun in my hand. I couldn't believe I actually shot it, I'm just glad I suck at aiming so it hit the wall.
I don't think I would've been able to live with myself if I'd hit him. I don't understand why the two of us right so damn much. I love him to death, but he just gets on my fucking nerves. Once I heard the door open I stopped in my tracks, I looked over at Alex and John sheepishly and I muttered out a small reply.
"Y-yeah, we're fine." I muttered.
"No we're not, the bastard tried to fucking shoot me!" Lafayette replied, it was a weird to me that he just sounded annoyed and not mad.
"What the hell?! Hercules! Why the fuck did you try to shoot Laf?!" John interjected.
"Well if Laf wasn't being a fuckin bitch maybe I wouldn't have tried to shoot him!"
"Well you don't have to bring a gun to a knife fight! It's not a case of your money or your life, right?" John responded, sounding a lot more responsible than he is.
"Herc, put down the gun. Both of you get some damn sleep it's past 3 AM." Alex ordered.
"Mon ami, you're one to talk." Lafayette responded sarcastically.
"He's right though. We have work tomorrow. Get. Some. Fucking. Sleep." John demanded.
I listened to the door slam shut and I looked back at Lafayette.
"Sorry, man." I apologized sheepishly
"You try to shoot me and all I get is "sorry?" You're paying for the hole in the wall."
"I know I am." I muttered.
