I couldn't believe my eyes.

Did Taylor Swift actually just follow me?

My heart was racing as I clicked on the profile confirming it's was actually her. "Is this real?" I whispered to myself, barely containing my excitement.

Before I could even process it, a direct message popped up:

Hey Bailee! I heard about the friendship bracelet you wanted to give me. Care to elaborate?

My pulse quickly elevated.

I ran out of my room and began knocking on my bestfriends door that was down the hall.

"BAILEE WHAT DO YOU WANT ITS 2 IN THE MORNING??" Madi screamed at me before she opened the door.

"THE ONE AND ONLY TAYLOR SWIFT JUST FOLLOWED ME AND TEXTED ME!" I YELLED AT HER TRYING TO CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT.

"Wait, back up a minute, did you just say Taylor Swift texted you?" Madi asked dumbfounded.

"Yes Madi. I'm not making this up," I told her. "Look see for yourself," as i gave her my phone.

"She really saw the interview?" Madi said with a smile on her face. "What are you going to say? Are you going to be honest or make it seem like you're just a super big fan who's totally not in love with her?" Madi asked.

I've been in love with Taylor Swift since the moment I heard her music but no one knows that, except Madi of course.

"Shut up and help me! What do I say?" I asked nervously.

"Let me see the phone," Madi said and she took my phone away and started typing something.

Hi Taylor! Honestly, it was just a fun idea. I thought it'd be a cute way to connect with you. Who wouldn't want to give you their number on a bracelet?

Madi gave me my phone after she hit send and slammed the door on my face with a huge grin.

"You got it from here bails!" Madi screamed right before she face planted on her bed.

"Fuck." I said to myself.

As she reread what Madi typed she started overthinking. Would she think it's silly?

Moments later she felt her phone buzz.

I nearly squealed as I sat down on my bed.

She made me feel comfortable. The exchange between us was light, fun, and utterly thrilling. Here I was, flirting with my idol, and it felt so natural.

A setter is the person who basically runs the whole team's offense. We set the ball to the hitters to try and get kills.
Kills are when someone hits the ball with their hand and it touches the floor or gets shanked!

After we signed off, I flopped onto my bed with my mind buzzing. This unexpected connection with Taylor Swift felt like a dream.

I closed my eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep. The conversations we just had circling my mind.
