The first part of the story was written as an episode tag after the episode that aired on 16 Sep. I hate that almost every time there is a high-risk pregnancy/infertility track on ITV, it ends with the female lead miraculously pregnant. Adoption is a valid parenting choice, and I wish Indian media would portray it as such. As such, then, the first part of this story explores this idea from Armaan's perspective, who was also adopted into the family.
Eventually, I realized I wasn't quite done with this little world, so I ended up writing a part two. A lot of what the characters do is so deeply against my personal opinions, lol, but it felt true to the people they were written as on the show, so here we are.
The title of this story is, of course, from Dhindora Baje Re, because i am honestly surprised that these two didn't dance to it even once during the 400 functions before they were finally allowed to get married when their story is quite literally the definition of pyaar meing bagawat.
Anyway, read and have fun!
Also, disclaimer: I am not an itv girlie, but somehow I got rishta brain rot, so this is pure, unedited word vomit.
