Y/N stands at the edge of the Blue Jay, scanning the horizon. The crew is fishing off the side of the ship.
Y/N: Keep your eyes open. We're not out of the woods yet.
Tari: So every video game has to have fishing in it somewhere?
Lamar: Yeah, they made it a law a few years back.
Marco: I'm honestly impressed with the way they crammed it into Turbo Crash.
Theo: Hey, I caught something!
The chest gets reeled up and smacks into Theo. Marco's little drone laughs as Theo's mech (which is moving without anyone inside manning it) whacks it. Theo and his mech chase it for a fight while Tari scans the chest for what's inside.
Tari: Alright! I think this is the one!
Y/N: What have you got there, Tari?
Tari: The chest has a similar signature to the one on Evelyn's knife.
Y/N: Let me see that.
Tari opens the chest, pulls out a coffee cup, and holds it in the air, Legend of Zelda style.
Lamar: We found some garbage?
Sofia: Not just any garbage, Lamar, Sheridan's garbage! It must be leaking through from whatever virtual backdoor Sheridan made to let Evelyn cheat as much as she has.
Y/N: Good thinking, Sofia.
As she speaks, Theo is carried away by Marco's drone in the background.
Tari: So, if we trace where this cup came from, we can track down and cut off Evelyn's power at the source! And maybe even get back to where our friends are!
Theo falls on his face as his mech grabs the drone.
Sofia: I'll get Sheridan for what he did to my sister...
Lamar: You alright, Sofia...?
Sofia: (Clearly lying) Yeah, why wouldn't I be? All Sheridan did was turn my sister's virtual brain into an emotionless assassin.
Gary walks by.
Sofia: (Accidentally smacks him in his family jewels) Watch where you're standing!
Gary falls over in pain.
Tari: ...Okay. Next destination...
Tari scans the cup.
Tari: ...Scrapbeard's Fortress.
Theo suddenly screams as he tries to go at the drone with a sword, but stops when they see everyone staring at them awkwardly.
Theo: He started it!
The drone fires at him.
Theo: OW! You little piece of-
Y/N: Alright, cut the crap. We need to focus. Sofia, you and Marco track the signal from the cup. Lamar, Theo, keep watch. I'll handle the navigation.
Lamar: Got it.
Marco: On it.
Theo: Yes, sir!
Y/N: Tari, stay with me. We need to be ready for anything.
Tari: Right.
The crew gets into position, ready to face whatever comes next.
Y/N: Alright, let's move out. We've got a mission to finish.
Evelyn's ship is at the cave's entrance.
Evelyn: Oh, they opened all the gates already. How convenient.
