The bell above the door jingled as Y/n Waldorf stepped into her cozy bakery, "Waldorf's Sweets." The warm scent of freshly baked pastries filled the air, mixing with the rich aroma of coffee. She loved the mornings when her shop was quiet, just before the rush began.

Today was different, though. A small crowd was forming outside, and she could hear whispers of excitement. Curiosity piqued, she wiped her hands on her apron and peeked outside. A sleek black car had pulled up, and out stepped Draco Malfoy, the enigmatic son of the CEO of Malfoy Enterprises.

Y/n had seen Draco at various charity events and high-society functions but had never spoken to him. He was always surrounded by a throng of admirers, his silver-blonde hair glinting in the sun like a beacon of privilege. Today, however, he seemed to be alone.

"What can I get for you?" Y/n asked, trying to keep her composure as he entered, the door chiming again.

Draco scanned the menu board, his brow furrowed in concentration. "What do you recommend?" he asked, his voice smooth, with an edge of curiosity.

"Everything is good," she said, smiling. "But our chocolate croissants are a crowd favorite."

"Then I'll have one of those, please." His eyes held hers for a moment, and she felt a spark of something—was it intrigue?

As she prepared his order, Y/n couldn't help but steal glances at him. He was dressed casually in a fitted sweater and jeans, a stark contrast to the tailored suits she was used to seeing him in. The slight smirk on his lips made her heart race a bit faster.

"Here you go," she said, handing him the croissant and a cup of coffee. "Enjoy."

Draco took a bite, and his eyes lit up. "This are pretty good for a Waldorf, didn't know the younger sister would be interested in baking."

Y/n laughed softly. "I was always fond of baking and I'm rich enough to open one anyways, didn't really need to save up any money to open one!"

"Touché," he said, grinning. "But still, it takes guts to put yourself out there like this. Not just anyone could do it."

"I appreciate that," she replied, feeling a warmth spread through her. "It's been a lot of work, but I love it."

They continued chatting as the bakery filled with the sweet aroma of pastries, Y/n finding herself more at ease with Draco than she had expected. He had a way of making her feel like her dreams mattered, not just as a Waldorf but as an individual.

"Maybe I'll have to come here more often," he said, leaning back against the counter. "I could use a good croissant in my life."

"Anytime," Y/n said, her heart racing at the thought. "I can also save you new recipe of my pastries if I decided to experiment some. Maybe you could be my taste tester?"

Draco's smile deepened, and she couldn't help but return it, feeling like they were building a connection that was entirely their own.

"Of course, I'll make sure I visit often then," he commented while taking a sip from his coffee. There weren't much customers in the morning so it was just the both of them alone in their own world.

"So what about you? Following in your father's footsteps?"

Draco shrugged, looking thoughtful. "Sort of. I'm helping out at the company, but I want to carve my own path. I just haven't figured out what that is yet."

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, and Y/n found herself enjoying his company more than she had anticipated. They discussed everything from baking to their favorite movies, laughing at shared interests.

"I didn't know you had a soft spot for rom-coms," Draco teased, taking another bite of the croissant.

"Hey, don't knock it! They're comforting," she shot back playfully.

As the morning rush began, more customers flooded in, and Y/n found herself darting around, filling orders and chatting with regulars. Draco lingered, watching her work with a genuine smile.

When things quieted down, he approached her again. " have to say, this place is pretty special. You've created something wonderful here."

"Thank you," Y/n said, her heart fluttering at the compliment. "It means a lot to me."

"Can I ask you something?" Draco's tone shifted slightly, a hint of seriousness in his voice.

"Sure," she replied, intrigued.

"Would you ever consider expanding? Like, maybe a pop-up shop or catering?" He paused, gauging her reaction. "I know some people who could help with that."

Y/n's breath caught in her throat. "Really? That's... that's a big step. I don't know if I'm ready for something like that even if I have a lot of money."

"Think about it," he said, a warm smile playing on his lips. "You clearly have the talent, and I think people would love to see more of your work."

"Thanks, Draco," she said softly, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. "I'll definitely consider it."

As he finished his coffee, Draco leaned closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "And maybe we could collaborate on something. A special pastry for Malfoy Enterprises' next event?"

Y/n's heart raced at the thought. "That could be fun."

"Great. I'll have my assistant reach out to you," he said, stepping back, his business persona slipping back into place. "I should get going, but I'll definitely be back for more croissants."

"Looking forward to it," Y/n replied, smiling brightly.

As he walked toward the door, she felt a thrill of anticipation. Draco Malfoy, the boy who seemed so far out of reach, was suddenly becoming part of her world. Maybe this was the start of something sweet—both in business and in life.

The bell jingled again as he left, and Y/n couldn't help but smile to herself, imagining all the possibilities that lay ahead.

"Am I seeing Y/n finally laying eyes on a boy?" Astoria spoke up while teasing Y/n making her glare at her jokingly.

"None of your business, go back to work." she rolled her eyes jokingly, while Astoria was stationed at the espresso machine, laughed, her fingers expertly crafting a latte.

"Oh, come on! You can't tell me you're not a little smitten. I saw the way you two were looking at each other!"

Y/n rolled her eyes but couldn't help the smile tugging at her lips. "It was just a conversation about croissants, Tori. Nothing more."

"Sure, just a conversation," Astoria teased, winking at her. "But you should totally invite him to your mother's brunch. He'd fit right in with the high-society crowd. Plus, it would give you an excuse to see him again!"

"Yeah, yeah," Y/n replied, shaking her head as she prepared another batch of pastries. But the idea lingered in her mind, mixing with the warm scents of cinnamon and sugar. Maybe Astoria was onto something.

Pansy entered the coffee shop, walking into the work stationed so she could take over the cashier register now while Astoria told her on what happened previously. Pansy was old friends with Draco back in highschool making her chuckle.

"Yeah, Y/n. He rarely smiles or make small talk with other people. You're special." Pansy called out while Y/n was in the back experimenting new pastries.

"Shut up before I fire you both!"

"You wouldn't!" Pansy and Astoria shout back giggling as they work. They were definitely going to set the Malfoy and younger Waldorf up.
