Veronica stood at the edge of the ballroom, her jaw clenched as she watched Draco twirl his date across the dance floor. The script had intended this moment to be one of tension, a simmering resentment between them after their recent argument, but Y/n felt every bit of it as if it were her own heartbreak.

Every laugh Draco shared with his date, every whispered word in her ear, stung more than she'd ever admit.

Tom and Y/n had been close friends since they were casted into Philosopher's Stone. Both of the character they were acting were in Slytherin, making their characters even more closer. But our of character, Tom knew everything about Y/n's past and breakup, after all they did grow up together but Tom was just a few years older than her

According to the character lore, Veronica and Draco had been growing close, their connection undeniable. But just days before the Yule Ball, a misunderstanding had driven them apart. Jealousy and pride had taken over, and they had accepted other dates out of spite. Now, they were both silently suffering, dancing around each other in more ways than one.

The director's voice echoed in the hall. "Alright, Veronica, this is where you confront Draco. Remember, you're frustrated, hurt, and tired of pretending you don't care. Can you do that for me?"

Y/n took a deep breath, gathering herself, and stepped forward, her eyes locked on Tom, who was fully immersed in Draco's persona.

"And action!" The director shouted out.

Her heart pounded, each step feeling heavier as she approached him. "Draco," she began, trying to keep her voice steady, "we need to talk."

Draco's eyes narrowed, annoyance flickering in his gaze. "Now? Really? You chose now to do this?" He gestured to the crowd around them, his voice dripping with frustration.

"Well, when else would I do it? When you're too busy parading your date around in front of me?" Veronica snapped back, her voice rising with every word.

The argument escalated, their lines blending seamlessly with their emotions. "You've got some nerve, Veronica," Draco spat, his eyes flashing with anger. "You act like you're the only one who's hurt. You think I didn't see you with him? You think I didn't care?"

"This isn't about him!" Veronica shouted, her voice breaking. "This is about you! About us! And how you couldn't be honest with me when it mattered!"

The room fell silent as the intensity between them grew, the crew watching with bated breath. Y/n felt the tears building, the pain from her breakup with her ex, Nathan bleeding into her character's anguish.

It was all too similar—the jealousy, the misunderstanding, the feeling of being second-best. The lines blurred, and suddenly, it wasn't just Veronica who was heartbroken; it was Y/n herself.
