The lunch hall was jam packed full of students gossiping about Mr Knowles outburst and my arrival only spurred the vast majority of the students to stare at me and whisper. (Little did I know that my last academic year would be the worst year of my life.)
After that lesson I wasn't even in the mood for the unappealing look of the inedible rubbish the dinner ladies called macaroni cheese, and so I simply turned back around and left the lunch hall in a rush, seeking a place of solitude and comfort away from the eyes of the entire school, however like the clumsy person I am I bumped into Chantelle, the girl who could easily replace Regina in Mean girls. "What the hell was that for weirdo, are you that desperate for attention in your pathetic little life!"Grabbing me by my arm, she dragged me into the deserted music room followed by the rest of her vindictive group. "It's about time you realised that you don't belong here Jemima, everyone hates you that's why you have no friends you loner! How dare you bump into me you little brat!" I desperately looked around at her group, begging anyone to help me, but they joined in shouting abuse at me for trying to fit in, and yelling at me to leave forever. I could only cry as their words echoed the words of my life. My eyes continued to blur up as the tears fell.
Chantelle used to live on my road however once I realised that her life was about as miserable as mine, she set out to destroy any happiness I could seek to gain in school as she rose through the ranks joining the popular group of 'Barbie's in my year and subsequently threatening me that if I ever told anyone of her parent's affair and her now half-sibling which is falsely claimed as her beloved sister I would find my life becoming even more miserable that it currently was.
As her friends continued to shout abuse at me, she remained me of her threat as she whispered to me that I had one year left of this and that I'd better keep my mouth shut, however I failed to listen to the rest of their abuse as I took my opportunity to run, sprinting out of the music room and down the corridor, glimpsing a look of my tear stained face a look which was only becoming increasingly permanent in my life. The thought of spending another minute in this hell hole was intolerable to me and I grabbed my bag out of my locker sprinting out of the school and avoiding the guards at the front gate slipping out through the back of the school and making my escape.
