Stan, Lucile, and the kids all ventured into the woods. Stan holding up his bat in case someone jumped them. He grit his teeth and swatted at something on his back. "We must be getting close. These fairy bites are getting more frequent."

The group was stop in their tracks as an ogre approached. His tusks sticking past his lips and swinging a large axe. "The group was Halt! Yon interlopers are trespassing on the ancient forest of Probabilitor the Wizard. If ye wish to pass, first ye must complete seven unworldly quests, each more difficult than the last." He growled, pointing to the humans.

But Grenda ran up a close by hill, using the extra height to bash the ogre across the head with the chair "No!" She yelled as the beast fell to the floor.

"Grenda! What did I say about hitting?" Lucile lectured her daughter as Grenda leapt back onto the ground. The young girl frowned and looked at the dirt in shame, Lucile sighed and ruffled her hair gently. "...I guess it was pretty deserved this time, but I'm not rewarding this behaviour."

Mabel stepped forward, poking the ogres foot with her rake. "Is he... dead?"

"He's magic, sweetie. I'm sure he's fine." Stan shrugged and waved off Mabel's concerns. But leaned forward and whispered to Grenda. "There's no cops in the forest. We take this to our graves." The young girl winked at him conspiringly.

Stan smiles, but his face dropped when he saw Lucile staring at him. Frowning and raising an eyebrow as she overheard their whispers. "Don't encourage violence with my kid." She said, pepper spraying the man a second time.

Stan groaned and rubbed his eyes. "God damn it woman! Why do ya keep doing that!?"

"Why did Ford call you Stanley?" Lucile crossed her arms, looking at the man with a serious expression on her face. "Your name is Stanford."

"Uhhhhh... well, it's a funny story..." Stan laughed nervously, blinking the pain his eyes away. "Ford is Stanford, I'm Stanley... I miiiight have taken his name and faked my death to pretend I'm him for the last 30 years." He smiled awkwardly as Lucile stared back at him. Just shaking her head and walking ahead of him.

The group finally reached the monsters and their friends. Stan and Mabel plays 'dungeons, dungeons and more dungeons' with the wizard to beat him. Lucile sat with her daughter to keep her safe, throwing rocks at the griffin if it got too close. Stan unwrapped a piece of gum and started chewing as he played. She cheered for Stan and Mabel and eventually the pair rolled a 38 to defeat the monster.

"Sorry, nerd wizard. All of your smarts are no match for dumb luck." Stan said smugly.

Mabel hopped up excitedly and yelled "I cast Death Muffins!" The young girl and her great uncle cheered as Ford and Dipper were freed.

The elf flipped his hair and spoke in a bored voice as Grenda hugged him. "The game is, like, over. Excelsi-whatever."

Lucile pulled Grenda away from him. "Stay away from my kid" she said, pepper spraying him in the eyes.

"No! I'm returning to my own realm. I'm turning into pure math. What are the odds?" The wizard screamed as he slowly fizzled out of existence.

They all stared in shock. Quiet until Dipper spoke up "Grunkle Stan, that was amazing! How did you know that you would win?"

"Hey, a gambler never reveals his secrets." Stan picked up the dice from the ground, discreetly pulling the gum off the bottom. The unwrapped another piece and put it in his mouth.

"Man, that was fun for ages eight to 80. Or a million or however old you guys are." Mabel said excitedly to her great uncles.

Lucile stood beside Ford as Stan and Dipper talked to eachother. "He did good, you should go easy on him Stanford."

"Yeah... I guess" Ford muttered, his eyes widening at the realisation. He stared at Lucile in shock. "You know?"

"Stanley told me."

The middle aged man open his mouth, ready to keep asking questions when Grenda spoke up. "Guys, we can watch the second showing of Duck-tective. It's not too late." She squeaked her duck toy, the group already starting to walk back to the house.

Ford stayed back, reaching out gently tugging on Lucile's hand. She looked back at him and raised an eyebrow. "You're not mad, right?" He asked in a soft tone.

She looked into his eyes, thinking it through before smiling "...take off your glasses Ford" He tilted his head to the side confused, but took off his glasses looking into her eyes. He opened his mouth to say something when she pepper sprayed him. Ford fell to the ground, wheezing and coughing as Stan laughed. "I don't like being lied to." Lucile walked back to the house with the children

In the mystery shack Stan sat on his chair with Dipper on his right and Mabel on the left. Lucile leant over his chair watching the show with him. On the floor was Grenda and Soos. The Ducktective finale was coming to the close, ending with the twist that Ducktective was shot by his twin brother. The reveal was met by groans from everyone.
"He had a twin brother all along? That's the big twist we were waiting for?" Mabel groaned, throwing her snacks.

Lucile tapped on Stan's shoulder for his attention, whispering in his ear. "I'm going out for a quick smoke"

He nodded quietly before mouthing "We still cool?"

Lucile smiled, giving him a thumbs up as she walked outside. He stood out on the porch, pulling out a cigarette and striking a match to light it. She deeply inhaled before exhaling the smoke. Watching it dance in the air. She watched the sunset, enjoying the moment of peace before she heard footsteps getting closer. Ford leaned against the wall beside her, she offered a smoke but he shook his head.

"I didn't want to lie to you..." he muttered softly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I didn't think I'd even have to lie about my name. Stan just took it while I was gone."

Lucile looked back at Ford, patting his shoulder gently "I get it... I mean it's not like Stan hasn't dragged me into his little schemes."

Ford let out an annoyed chuckle "So you understand, he can be so selfish sometimes!" He pinched the bridge of his nose, shaking his head slowly. "I shudder at the thought of what he's been doing with my name"

The woman wasn't as fazed as Ford, just shrugging her shoulders and continuing to smoke. "He mostly just scams tourists... it's kinda funny" she looks into his eyes with a pleading pout. "Stan missed you, give him a chance man"

His eyebrows furrowed and be crossed his arms, doubling down. "It's not that easy, Stanley's done stuff."

Lucile finished her cigarette, dropping it on the floor and squashing it with her foot. "Well... do it for me then." She his hand in hers as she looked up at him.

Fords expression slowly softened, squeezing her hand gently in his palm. "I'll try..." he muttered breathily.

The woman reached out, gently pushing his hair out of his eyes. "That's all I ask, for you to try." She leaned forward, planting a kiss on the mans cheek. He stared at her in shock, Lucile looking into his eyes tenderly. "night Ford." She placed a soft sweet kiss on his lips, lasting for a few seconds before she pulled away and walked back inside.

Ford slid down, sat on the porch while brushing his fingers against the lipstick she'd left on his skin. The smell of smoke still lingering.
