The Dance (pt.1)🪢

BEEP BEEP BEEP

i slowly opened my eyes to a blury haze. still adjusting to the light of the sun rising. once my eyes adjusted, i checked my phone to see the time was 7:00am. i clung on to chloe, not ready to face the day with out more cuddles. "good morning beautiful, how'd you sleep?" she asked which surprised me since i thought she was still asleep. "morning, i'm good." i mumbled into her neck. "how are you?" i continued. "i'm okay." she said simply. "why is your alarm always so loud and set so earlyyyy?" i asked still half asleep but clinging to her nonetheless. "we'll for one babe, we have class. we also need to start getting ready for the annual auridon prep dance." she said with a slight giggle. i shot up out of my comfortable position and stand next to the been in shock. "what?! chloe... what do you mean there's a 'dance' ?! when is it, and why am i only just hearing about this???" i can't believe this how did i not know about this and why is she only mentioning it now?? chloe sat up and giggled, with a shocked expression on her face."red... you can't be serious right now. what do you mean you didn't know about the dance?! it's the biggest social event of the year for us!" i can't believe what i'm hearing. how did i not know about this.

i started to panic and pace around our room. i mean, what am i supposed to? i don't have anything to wear. should i ask chloe to be my date to the dance, or is she automatically my date because she's my girlfriend. what are people going to think when we show up together. are we supposed to be coordinated colours? what if chloe doesn't want to go with me. what am i supposed to do then?! i couldn't stop thinking about everything that could possibly go wrong on Saturday. this dance obviously means a lot to chloe and i don't want to mess that up for her.

*fairly light but smut warning*

suddenly i felt arms pull me backwards by my waist. chloe pulled me in to her and i spun round to cling on to her yet again. "breathe baby" she said calmly into my ear. i felt myself begin to calm down as my breathing slowed. chloe kissed my forehead and pulled away from the right embrace. "red, what's on your mind?" she said while taking my hand and pulling me towards the bed to sit down with her. "i didn't know about the dance... i mean i don't have anything to wear and this is obviously important to you. and are we going together? or am i just assuming that because we're together. and what if people think it's strange if we don't go together. do we need to coordinate outfits, do you even want to coordinate outfits? i mean chloe there are so many things to figure out and we only have two full days." chloe simply sat, looking at me with a small smile. "red, i love you so much," her smile getting bigger, " yes, we are going together. we can go shopping together tomorrow to find you something to wear. i've got a blue dress ready so whatever we find for you is okay. it can be blue or red or whatever colour you want it to be because it's your choice baby. you don't need to stress about this because it's all going to work out well, okay?"   "okay chlo, shopping sounds good. but for today can we just get lessons over with, get food and cuddle the rest of the day since we both only have a few lessons today?" i asked slightly shy for some unknown reason.

the day went by fairly fast and we ended up back in our room with take out and chloe's laptop on her lap. we've been looking on different websites to find something for me to wear to the dance. "ooo how about this dress? it's beautiful." she said pointing at a long green dress with a bow on the side. "no offence baby but definitely not." i said with a small laugh. we kept on looking and chloe kept pointing out different dresses that i might want to wear. none of them looked like something i would wear.

ten minutes later, we had finished our food and began losing hope for finding a dress for me. "look bluey, i know this night is important to you and i don't want to ruin it so maybe it's best that i just don't go. i mean you have everything sorted out and- wait, what was that? scroll back up a sec." that was when i saw it. the most beautiful red dress i had ever seen. it was a strapless gown, that had the front cut short and the back flowed freely to the ground. "chlo, that's it. that's the dress i want to wear." i said softly, turning to look at her. "okay then, i'll pre order it and we can go and pick it up tomorrow. sound good?"     "sounds perfect baby." i said before closing the laptop and putting it on the desk by the side of the bed. as i placed it down, chloe put her hand on my cheek, pulled me back around and towards her. she gently placed her lips on mine and we stayed connected for a second before i kissed her again. gaining traction against her lips a moan to slip out of her mouth.

chloe's pov:

as soon as i felt her squeeze my ass, i knew exactly where tonight was headed. "baby, i need you tonight." i couldn't help but feel excited about where the night was going and what red and i had in store for on another. i knew it was going to be perfect and i couldn't ask for anyone better. "i love you red." i said breathing heavily. "i love you too bluey." red said eagerly. with that, we continued to  enjoy each other's company.
