[DAN POV]

*ring, ring, ring*

I shot up from the fetal position, my eyes struggling to open, as my body took it's natural reaction against the sirens ringing in my ears. Feeling rather disoriented, I searched for the culprit behind the noise, but as I took the time to conclude that it wasn't a sign of my utter doom, i realized it was just in fact the alarm i had set the night before.

I fell back onto my bed and ran my hands over my face as I felt myself sink back into the mattress that had already forgotten my form, the noise still piercing the occasional silence in the room. As I lay back, I thought to last nights dreams, something i occasionally did in order to recollect my thoughts each morning. Usually my dreams weren't very eventful, but as I tried to connect the thoughts that ran through my mind the night before, the only thing that stuck to me was the memory of having made out with a particular tall handsome stranger.

Tall handsome stranger...

I wasn't insecure about my sexuality. I knew I was at least bicurious, but wetdreams revolving around males weren't necessarily the most commons thing for me. As i thought harder, all that came to me were a pair of vivid cobalt blue eyes. I turned the thought around in my head. Who did I know with blue eyes? I lightly snickered. I knew basically no one in general.

I was snapped out of my train of thought as the blaring from the alarm came back to my attention, and considering that the clock had been ringing for several minutes now, and that no one had burst my door open, threatening to break my throat unless I 'shut that damned thing off' It was safe to say that my parents had already left for work. I leaned towards the clock, and turned it off.

I slowly slid my fingers through my hazelnut hair, before breathing in the morning air. It was hot, it was sweaty, it was a Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, California. The last day of my junior year, and I had not even the slightest intention on attending! (but to be fair, i didn't have the slightest intention on leaving bed either) Weed, fashion, & alcohol weren't really my thing, so I figured my time would be better spent sleeping in, and enjoying my usual time alone.

As I sat back, attempting to muster the motivation to get something to eat, another ringer went off. This time it wasn't my alarm. I grabbed my iphone from the bedside table, to be greeted by a Twitter notification:

@AMAZINGPHIL:

"i meowed at a stray cat and it meowed back! i am now the cat king, purrr "

I giggled a teeny bit at the name alone, "AMAZINGPHIL". I'd been watching him on Youtube ever since I had moved to Los Angeles, which was almost a year and a half now. I'd like to consider me and Phil friends. I mean, the only contact we ever have is when he occasionally decides to favorite my tweets every once in a blue moon, but y'know. Friends, right?

I unlocked my phone to get a better look at his profile, and the little grey box that stated he "followed" me made me grin. Actually, it made me giddy every time I saw it, but that's besides the point. I swiped to his pictures, and began to go through them (this wasn't an unusual hobby for me) when I noticed something peculiar. The same cobalt blue eyes from last nights odd dream were staring at me from my screen.

"Wow, nice job Dan."

I remarked to myself quietly, the sound of my voice filling the room.

I quickly turned off my screen.

I really needed to get out more often.

After thinking about Phil for a bit longer, I eventually decided to just let it go. I mean, he had like 9k subscribers, he was basically famous, meanwhile I was here with my 300 twitter followers. I laughed to myself. It was just a stupid dream.
