The winding road to Seungcheol's safe house felt like it stretched into the depths of nowhere, each twist and turn leading Seokmin deeper into the wilderness. The moon was just a sliver in the night sky, barely peeking through the dense canopy of trees that pressed in from all sides. His car's headlights were the only source of light, illuminating the narrow path that seemed to disappear into darkness ahead. As the GPS flickered, reminding him just how isolated the place was, a thrill coursed through Seokmin's veins. Seungcheol had always known how to throw a good party, but there was something especially exciting about the secrecy of this one.

He finally pulled up to the house-a large, wooden cabin nestled between towering trees. The house stood almost like a shadow, hidden in the thick of the forest, far from the noise and distractions of the outside world. Music pulsed from inside, the bass vibrating through the walls, and Seokmin could already hear the sounds of laughter and voices, a stark contrast to the eerie quiet of the woods around him.

Stepping out of his car, Seokmin's boots crunched on the gravel driveway. The cool night air wrapped around him, making him shiver briefly before he composed himself. He took a slow drag from his cigarette, savoring the burn in his lungs before exhaling a cloud of smoke into the night. His outfit was carefully chosen for maximum impact. Tight-fitted jeans clung to his body, showing off every curve, and his black crop top revealed his toned abs, the silver chains hanging around his neck glinting under the faint light. He adjusted the chains and smirked to himself. He looked good, and he knew it.

As he made his way up to the house, Seokmin caught a glimpse of his reflection in the window-his hair slightly tousled, a glint of mischief in his eyes. The door swung open before he could knock, and the pulse of the music hit him full force. The party was already in full swing. People were scattered throughout the room-some dancing, others lounging on couches, drinks in hand. Colored lights flashed, casting shadows on the walls as laughter filled the air.

Seokmin's entrance didn't go unnoticed. Eyes flicked toward him, drawn by his confident stride and the effortless way he carried himself. A few people gave him appreciative glances, but it was the girl who sidled up to him, her arm slipping around his waist, that caught his attention. She leaned in close, whispering something into his ear that made him chuckle softly. They flirted easily, Seokmin's hand resting casually on her hip as he exhaled another puff of smoke. The relaxed confidence he exuded was magnetic, and people were drawn to him wherever he went.

Across the room, Joshua watched the entire scene unfold. His back was pressed against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, eyes narrowed behind the rim of his glass. The sight of Seokmin made something hot and bitter flare in his chest. There was something about Seokmin that set him on edge-something about the way he always seemed so sure of himself, like he owned the space he walked into. It annoyed Joshua more than he cared to admit.

Look at him,❞ Joshua muttered to himself, his jaw clenched tight. ❝Always so fucking smug.❞

Seokmin, completely unaware of Joshua's glare, laughed loudly at something the girl beside him said, his hand slipping into her hair, his body language screaming arrogance. To Joshua, it felt like Seokmin was mocking him without even trying. He wanted to knock that cocky look off Seokmin's face, wipe away the confidence he wore like armor.
