These were questions that Ron constantly had to ask himself

Thousands of times

He wasn’t questioned after the death of Oliver Ranhook

That was because he was the one doing the questioning

It made him laugh

He couldn’t help it

Every single time he thought about 

The death of his best friend

His heart would race and his lips would 

Stretch into a smile that could tear apart his skin

He knew he was sick, 

There was no denying that

He’d been waiting around for someone to do it

He never thought it would happen this soon

He didn’t file the paper correctly

He didn’t seriously ask any questions to possible suspects

And he didn’t push for the investigation to continue 

Because “There were more pressing matters to attend to.”

In a perfect world, 

Everyone would forget and move on with their lives

After all, he was a dirty man 

He met Oliver in college

They were in the same fraternity although different paths

Oliver was set to inherit his father’s company

And Ron was going to be a Police Officer like his uncle

He didn’t know what it was, but Oliver always wanted to talk to him

He must’ve thought that they were friends

But he didn’t think so, he hated trust funds

He hated it when people had more money than him

But maybe he could use some of that money for himself

He would act nice 

Pretend to be all buddy, buddy

He would be his best friend so long as a bill needed to be paid

And the man got married

And he had such pretty wife

And a fiery spirit, that he wasn’t sure that Oliver could appreciate

Meanwhile Ron had nothing

It wasn’t fair that Oliver got gifted with a boat

Meanwhile Ron had to build his own ship that was sinking

This very moment

Then he complained about the color

Complained about the wheel

Complained about the noise

And the floors

And the seat

And the way it turns 

And the windows 

And the shade
