•••Cara's POV•••

I was in my room listening to the Believe soundtrack. I had forgotten the music overtime, so I was refreshing my memory.

Katie was helping me pick something out to wear to the party in an hour. "How about this?" She asked.

I looked to the outfit Katie hand in her hands. She held a black tank top with a white down jacket along with white shorts. I grinned and nodded.

"Yeah! That's awesome! Now let me get you something." I said. Even though Katie was 4 years younger than me, she was still the best friend I ever had.

I scanned the clothes in my closet. Finally, I found something for Katie. I showed it to her. It was a blue short sleeve t-shirt with a black jacket and white jeans. Katie grinned. "Yes!" She exclaimed.

I laughed and handed her the outfit on the hanger. "Let's change. We have to be there in a few minutes." I said.

Katie grinned and nodded. "Okay." She said.

We changed into our outfits before we each brushed our hair. Katie handed me a black, glittery fedora hat. I smiled and put it on my head.

"That makes it look 100 times better." I said.

Katie laughed and nodded. "That's why I gave it to you." She said.

My mother, Alana, knocked on my bedroom door before opening it. "Are you two ready?" She asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. Did Dad go with David?" I replied.

"He did. They're already at the park. Now, come on. Lets go." She said.

Katie and I grinned as we walked out of my room. My mom drove us over to the park. The party was held in the dining commons, where most of the guests eat at the park. There were lights, balloons, and flowers everywhere. Music was being played from speakers. The entire staff was at the party.

Katie, my mother, and I walked up to the entrance. David, Alejandro, and Ky walked over.

Ky especially caught my eye. He wore a white button up shirt that was untucked from his black jeans. A blue tie clung around his neck, and a black fedora hat covered his head. He grinned at me. I blushed and smiled.

Throughout the party, I met some new workers and reunited with old ones. There were a few songs people would dance to.

When I was finished talking to someone, there was a tap on my left shoulder. I turned around, but nobody was there. Then, I looked to my other side. Ky stood there grinning. I grinned.

"Hi." I said.

"Hi." Ky replied. He handed me a small bag. "I got you a present, but I wanted to give it to you personally." He said. "You can opened it now if you want."

I blushed and nodded. I opened the bag. Inside it was a necklace with a heart locket. The locket had an orca's flukes on it. I grinned and looked up to Ky.

"Where did you get this?" I asked.

"I made it." He said.

I grinned. "Wow! It's beautiful." I said. "Could you put it on me?"

Ky smiled. "Sure." He said. I handed him the necklace. He clipped it around my neck. "There."

I smiled. There was a slow song just beginning to play. Katie walked over. "Hey, Cara." She said. She waved me over.

I nodded and looked to Ky. "I'll be right back." I said.

Ky nodded. I walked over to Katie. She grinned. "So...?" She asked.

I laughed slightly. "He gave this locket to me. He told me he wanted to give it to me personally." I said.

Katie grinned and cupped her hands over her mouth. "Awe!" She exclaimed.

I rolled my eyes and grinned. Before I could say anything else, David grabbed Katie's hands and pulled her closer to him. "Wanna dance?" He asked.

I laughed as Katie nodded. I walked back over to Ky. "I'm sorry. Katie had to ask me something." I said.

Ky smiled. "It's fine." He said. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Um...do you want to dance?" He asked.

I blushed and nodded. "Sure." I said.

Ky grinned and took my hands. He led me over to where the others were dancing. He held me close as we danced to the song. I knew I was blushing the entire time. I think Ky was, too.

•••Ky's POV•••

I don't ever think I've blushed so much in my life. Cara sure had a way to make me turn red though. I was hoping it would be hot tonight, so I would have a reason to have a red face.

At the end of the party, I stayed behind talking to Cara. I'd gotten to know her so well in less than 2 hours. I felt like I had known her all my life. She was for sure blushing, too.

"So, do you have a boyfriend?" I asked.

Cara shook her head. "No." She said.

I smiled slightly. "Then, do you wanna go out sometime? Like, somewhere special during lunch break tomorrow?" I asked.

Cara blushed deeply. "Yeah, that would be great." She said.

"Where to?" I asked.

She shrugged, not wanting to meet my eye contact. "Wherever is fine." She said.

I grinned and lifted her chin up with my hand. Her eyes finally met mine. My lips gently pressed against hers. Cara seemed to be overwhelmed.

She was turning so red. "Oh, Ky..." She said.

I held her close in a hug. "You blush so easily. Did you know that?" I said.

Cara laughed slightly and kissed my cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow, Ky." She said before walking off.

I grinned and pumped my fist in the air. "Yes!" I said to myself.
