●●●Cara's POV●●●
Katie and I had been talking all morning the next day. We're girls, that's what we do. Katie had even noted the Ky was in an exceptionally good mood this morning. We prepared for the Believe show that was in an hour. Ky was the main trainer, Katie was the main female trainer, I was Ky's side partner in the first and last segment, David was a speaker, and my dad was the introduction speaker. The orcas were ready to perform. The music began after my father spoke.
The show went smoothly. Everyone high-fived me at the end since it was my first show. The guests began to clear out of the stadium. Ky was in the back pools, playing with Amor. He sure was enthusiastic when he performed. He did some waterwork with the orcas before swimming over to the waterside. He climbed out of the pool and walked over to me. I was rinsing the salt water out of my wetsuit and hair behind the stage with the hand-held shower hose. Ky grabbed the other hose and rinsed off as well.
"Are you ready to go to lunch?" He asked.
I grinned. "Yeah, just as soon as I change out of the wetsuit." I replied.
Ky grinned. "Me, too." He said.
We finally finished cleaning up ourselves before we went into separate locker rooms. I brushed my tangled hair after changing into my Sea World shirt and gym shorts. I met Ky outside the locker rooms.
He drove us over to the nearest restaurant. They served salad and fish there. It was basically the Sea World Trainer Diet. All of the trainers ate here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We had an hour to waste when we were done. This place served really fast.
So, instead of going back over to the stadium, we walked around the fish displays next to a rollercoaster. Ky was able to name all of the fish. I was really surprised, since I had never been able to do that, and I had practically lived at the park ever since I was a young girl.
•••Ky's POV•••
Cara and I made it back to the stadium just before lunch break was over. She helped me feed the orcas their lunch. Goodness, the kids were sure hungry that day. They ate every single fish they had been offered. The adults though were not so starved. They ate the fish as the normally do before swimming off when they were full.
At the end of the shift, Alejandro was pulling out some boxes from the closet of the trainer lounge. Cara was helping him.
"What's all that for?" I asked.
Cara looked to me and smiled. "Christmas is in just a month!" She said.
I grinned. "Oh, okay. You need any help?"
Alejandro nodded. "Yeah. Just get those boxes of ornaments." He said. "We've got to decorate tonight because the other stadiums have already done theirs." He added.
"I'll stay to help." I said, walking into the closet. I hauled the box of ornaments in my arms. "So, that means we're gonna start Miracles again?" I asked as I walked out.
"Sure does. The first show is next Tuesday." Alejandro said.
I nodded and grinned. The next couple of hours was spent on hanging lights and ornaments. There was a live tree inside the trainer lounge. I lifted Cara up on my shoulders so she could put the star on top. Alejandro seemed to be pretty calm about this whole situation with Cara and me.
We were finishing up digging through the boxes to find anymore decorations to hang. Cara pulled something out of the box and giggled like a little girl. I looked over to her and then to what she was holding. It was mistletoe. I grinned and looked to Alejandro, who had his back turned. I knelt down next to Cara and kissed her happily. She laughed and blushed deeply.
Alejandro, who had not turned around, said, "Ky, keep your lips off my daughter."
My eyes widened. I looked to him. He was still trying to tie a bow on one of the elves. Cara laughed and kissed my cheek. "Ky, you're blushing. Do you know how easily you blush?" She said, quoting me from the day before.
I laughed and squeezed her in a tight hug. Soon, the decorating was complete. I moved the empty boxes into the closet. Cara helped me as Alejandro shut off all the lights. She stayed close to me as we were leaving. I held her hand while we walked out to the parking lot. Alejandro hugged Cara goodbye before he left. Since Cara's car was far away, I let her ride with me over to the spot it was in. She seemed to be a lot more happier since the moment I met her.
"So, what are you doing for Christmas?" I asked.
Cara shrugged. "I don't know. Probably just going over to my parents' house." She replied. "What about you?"
I shook my head. "Nothing other than going to work." I replied.
She smiled and held my hand. "You can come over to my parents' with me."
I looked to Cara and smiled. "No, it's fine." I said.
Cara sat a little closer to me. "No, I'm serious. Please..." She said.
I stopped in front of Cara's car. I looked to her and smiled. "I will consider it..."
She grinned and hugged me tightly. I smiled and embraced her. "I'll see you tomorrow." She said.
I grinned and cupped her face in my hands. "Wanna meet for breakfast?" I asked, pressing my forehead against hers.
She nodded. "I'd love to." She said. "Trainer place?"
"Yeah." I said before pressing my lips on hers. "Goodnight, Cara." I said.
Cara grinned. "Goodnight, Ky."
