Maya pov

After the whole fight thing from the party a few days ago the witches wanted us to apologize since we made a scene at their home and they didn't really care who started it they just wanted us to apologize.

So back to the witch house we went to, my parents were talking with Raven's family. I didn't really care since I was walking around checking out the place better without all the people.

I went out into the forest and saw a lake. As I got closer I saw Raven throwing some rocks into the water. "I didn't think you came," I said as she turned her head.

"Had to,” she said. I sat down next to her. I saw her looking at me from the corner of my eye. I didn't say anything so I just picked up a rock and threw it into the water.

“You look better without the mask" she said, I looked at her "thanks” I said before throwing another rock.

"So how have you…um been?" She asked, I can hear how her heart quickens. I don't really focus too much on people's hearts but this one was more calm. It was strong. I liked how it sounded.

“Good, you?" I asked, “good" she said, we looked at each other without really saying anything. I didn't realize how soft she looked, how the sun goes down on her in the most beautiful way.

I look away "so why did you come to see our parents arguing?" I asked, she let out a soft chuckle “it wasn't my choice I have classes I need to go to and my parents were going to take me after this" she said, sighing.

"classes?” I asked, I really hope I'm not talking to a minor. Well, I am a vampire so I'm older, even though everyone but still.

"Yeah I'm taking college classes. I'm in my last year so it's really important" she says, I let out a breath “yeah I understand" I said.

A few more minutes of silence I can still hear my parents aren't done and to be honest I just want to go “want to get out of here?" I asked, she looked at me surprised.

“I don't have a car so-” I cut her off "I'll drive I have my own” I said standing up holding out my hand "just put on music just not shitty ones" I said.

She took it as we walk to my car hand in hand we got inside as we started to drive around she asked random questions about being a vampire which I answered since why not

I'm not going to lie. I kinda like being around her. It's weird "you know people say there are no dumb questions but what you are asking are dumb questions" I said stopping at a light I looked over and she pouted which is the most cutest thing I have ever seen.

“Wow thanks it's not my fault I'm surprised you're nice” she said I slightly shrug "okay fair enough but I'm surprised you didn't go all wolf" I said as she looked at me confused.

"You know we only wolf out on a full moon" she said in a slow tone I rolled my eyes as i started to drive again "right right that's what I meant" I said.

Soon I drove her to her college as I parked in a spot "so now I'm curious how does your family talk about vampires and witches” I said turning to her she shrugged her shoulders.

"Just the more stuff, how bad are they, they like the witches since they do favors but my family really hates vampires” she said.

That just confused me more, if her family hates people like me than why is she with me? “Why are you with me? Are you scared I'm going to suck all of the blood out of you?" I asked.

Raven shrugged "not really your like a… cat" she said I was even more confused “okay I'm done with this conversation it's almost time for your class" I said she let out a soft giggle.

She opens the door “see that's why you're not so bad you couldn't have killed me now but you didn't" she said as she got out and closed the door behind her I just saw her walking thinking about what she said.

Like a cat the fuck dose that mean?
