The clock showed it was past 10 p.m., and the office was almost dark and empty, the only light coming from the soft glow of computer screens. A tense silence filled the room, broken only by the occasional tapping of keyboards.

In a glass-walled office, Adithya sat hunched over his desk, his white shirt slightly undone, revealing the hint of his toned frame. His hair was disheveled, a clear sign of hours spent in thought. His gaze, sharp and intense, was fixed on Sitara, who sat just outside his office, her focus on the task in front of her.

Manoj, a colleague, stood up after finishing his work. Stretching, he approached Sitara with a casual smile.

Manoj: "Sitara, it's getting pretty late. When are you heading home? I can give you a ride if you want."

She hesitated, her eyes flickering toward Adithya's office. His piercing gaze was still locked on them, his expression inscrutable yet charged with an unspoken storm. Unease crept into her chest.

Sitara: "No, it's fine. I'll manage, Manoj. You should go ahead."

Manoj nodded, but before leaving, he bent down and wrapped her in a friendly hug. The unexpected intimacy made Sitara stiffen, unsure of how to react.

Suddenly, a sharp crash echoed through the room. Sitara's eyes darted toward Adithya's office, where shards of glass from a broken tumbler littered his desk. His gaze burned into hers, anger simmering beneath the surface.

Oblivious to the tension he had caused, Manoj waved and smiled.

Manoj: "See you tomorrow, Sitara."

As he walked away, the room fell silent, but Adithya's intense gaze didn't waver. Sitara sat back down, murmuring under her breath.

Sitara: "When will he leave me? It's getting so late..."

She tried to focus on her work, ignoring the weight of Adithya's stare. But tiredness began to settle in, and before she knew it, her head was resting in her palms, her eyes fluttering shut for a brief moment.

A shift in the air brought her back to awareness. Her heart raced as she sensed a strong presence behind her. She slowly opened her eyes and turned, finding Adithya just a few steps away.

Adithya: "Are you tired?" he asked, his voice low and steady, his gaze unwavering.

Sitara straightened up quickly, trying to regain her composure.

Sitara: "I'm fine," she said, her voice betraying her nervousness.

Adithya stepped closer, his eyes never leaving hers.

Adithya: "You shouldn't stay so late," his tone softened, though the intensity remained.

Sitara tried to suppress the flutter of her heart, masking it with indifference.

Sitara: "I have work to finish, sir. I can handle it."

His expression hardened slightly, but he spoke firmly.

Adithya: "You can go now, Sitara. Finish the work tomorrow."

Sitara: "No, I'll finish and go," she replied, determination in her voice.

He walked closer, standing behind her chair. Her heart raced as she felt his presence overwhelming her. She caught the warm, intoxicating scent of his cologne as he bent down, his chin brushing her shoulder.
