Coffee...

The bitter poison that makes you happy.

You couldn't say you were the biggest fan but hey. It got the job done when you needed that little boost in the afternoon.

Your only worry is that the filthy warehouse you broke in would cause all the grime, blood and dust to taint the elixir within your mug.

You take a single large step to the left as a body is sent towards you, a protective hand covering the liquid energy. You look over towards the body that was carelessly thrown at you by Wendy and see that it had no head. You just hoped if they had a partner they wouldn't mind it. Your eyes finally rise to the scene in front of you.

James was being his usually quiet self as he shoves the three bone claws from his right hand into the chest of a Tiger-Claw who just seemingly let go of life as his body goes limp at the stabbing. Meanwhile his friend tries to attack from James' flank with a shotgun aimed at your friend's head. James, seemingly sensing the incoming danger, shoots his left behind him, stabs his claws into the chin of the attacker before he could get a shot off.

Wendy slowly walks towards a Tiger-Claw who was sprinting at her with their twin mantis blades at the ready to turn her flesh into fleshy ribbons

Wendy slowly walks towards a Tiger-Claw who was sprinting at her with their twin mantis blades at the ready to turn her flesh into fleshy ribbons. Swinging their arms, ready to end her, Wendy jumps over them, twisting midair to land behind them and swings both Katana decapitating the gang member, his body taking a moment to realize it had no head as a spray of blood shoots from the stump and the body falls to the ground. Quickly turning and leaning back she dodges an enemy katana and slices off the offending arm holding it, quickly bringing her off hand katana to the forefront and slits the throat of the attacker.

Wendy: I'm sorry

Wendy: I'm sorry. I'm lost. What's the job again?

James: You don't know either? Y/N just said we were supposed to come here and clear the place.

They both give you a quick glance before going back to taking out the gangsters that didn't seem to have the manners to let the adults have their conversations. One seemingly just only noticing you goes for the attack with a mantis blade only to get a bullet to the head from your handgun, you taking an appreciative sip from your mug and smacking your lips in appreciation.
