Lily had spent the last three hours pretending that nothing had fazed her, acting as though the events from earlier hadn't touched her at all. But for one of those hours, she had broken down, sobbing in the arms of Arabella and Mary. Arabella watched as Lily tried to hold herself together, her strength crumbling bit by bit until the façade gave way to raw emotion.

Now, Lily lay curled up in bed, her head resting heavily on the pillow, eyes red and swollen from crying. Arabella was beside her, lying close, her hand gently stroking through Lily's fiery hair, offering silent comfort. The soft rhythm of her touch was meant to soothe, and in the quiet space between them, Arabella could feel the weight of Lily's struggle to stay strong, even as she allowed herself this vulnerable moment.

"Yknow, I love a good wallow." Sighed Arabella looking at the ceiling, moving her hand along Lily's hair. "I can go to the kitchens, get tons of ice cream, pizza, sweets; bloody anything we can think of. Then we can sit in the darkness of this dormitory, and I can read you out loud to any book. No what, no books- my brain needs to stay with the information from O.W.Ls. But I can have peeves do that weird tossing thing."

Mary furrowed her eyebrows trying to understand what she was doing before sighing. "Do you mean, juggling?" said Mary. Arabella pouted her lip a little shrugging her shoulders.

Finally, the girl had sat up, looking at her and Mary. "I'm fine," Lily lied through her teeth. Lily was the type of girl who couldn't lie because it was obvious. She did this thing, and her nose twitched so slightly.

"Lils, what time is it?" Lily turned to the clock which was above the door. "Too late, You're waiting for Severus to come back and say sorry to you about everything, and the point fact is he's not going to. They never do." From her own experiences, Lily didn't know what to say just starting at Arabella. "Let's reckon he does happen to come back, what he said was arrogant, and he's a right nasty bloke for it."

Lily seemed to sigh for a second, putting her hands inside of her hair. Running her fingers through the ginger locks of her head. "No wonder why he didn't say anything to me."

Humming Mary had tilted her head a little bit. "What do you mean?"

"I tried to go and find him before the exam," said Lily. "He seemed to be avoiding me the whole time, hangin' around Crouch and even Sirius' brother. Almost as if he didn't want to allow me to talk to him. I thought it was because I've been gobby towards him."

This almost enraged Arabella hearing that Severus had just pushed her away without saying anything to her. "Hey, this isn't your fault." Arabella furrowed her eyebrows.

"I know it's not." Lily retorted. "It's Potter's fault,"

Mary knew this wasn't about to go the nicest way she could think, Excusing herself from the room causing it just to be Lily and Arabella. "Lils, you're like a sister to me almost, and I don't get to call a lot of people that," said Arabella. "James would never say something like that to you, He didn't say something like that to you."

Lily had stood up from her bed, crossing her arms and pacing back and forth. "If he didn't push Severus."

"Hi, Lily. Severus is a blood purist, along with everyone who he associates with. It's about time." Arabella put her hands on her legs pushing herself up from the bed.

Standing in front of the ginger girl, trying to make sure she said what was on her mind.

As much as she didn't think that Lily shouldn't have been friends with Snape in the first place. But she didn't have any say in their friendship. Just like how no one had a say in how Arabella left people in her life. "Bella, James is nothing but an ignorant prick, who cares more about himself than the people around him."
