'Are you okay? You look like you've just seen a ghost,' Jack asked chuckling slightly.
I shifted awkwardly realising I had zoned out thinking about how lucky I'd been not wearing my Sleeping with Sirens tee. I would have seemed like such a stalker...
'Oh sorry! I was just wondering if you could point me in the direction of this cafe I'm meant to be meeting my friend in.' I said trying hard not to let my inner fangirl show.
'Well I might be able to, but you are going to have to tell me what the cafe's called first.' I wanted to slap myself. I'm such an idiot. Oh god.
'Oh right yeah,' I let out a nervous laugh, 'I think it's called 'Kelly's'?" I reply crossing my fingers behind my back praying that I haven't just made that name up. I can't take any more embarrassment today.
'Kelly's eh?' I give an uncertain nod, 'well you're in luck I was just about to head on over there, so you can walk with me.' He smiled. I let out a sigh of relief as he quickly added 'if you want to that is.'
'Yeah, that'd be great!'
'Well let's go then,' Jack started to walk on, me following next to him. 'So,' he continued, 'your friends from around here then.' I couldn't work out if this was a statement or a question so I decided I should just answer anyway.
'Yep,' I responded, popping the 'p'. 'How'd you know?'
'Kelly's the best cafe around but only people who live around here actually know about it,' he shrugged. 'I'm Jack by the way.' Oh I know.
'I'm Millie.' Jack looked over at me then nodded, almost as if he was giving me approval of my name.
We walked in a comfortable silence for the next couple of minutes, until we approached a cute vintage looking cafe, with a pink banner over it reading 'KELLIES'.
'Welcome to the one, the only, Kelly's.' Jack said with a grin, while holding the door open for me.
'Why thank you,' I said putting on a bad posh accent and skipping in.
I felt Jack stop slightly behind me. 'So do you see your friend?' I shook my head, briefly looking around the tiny cafe, but I already knew she wasn't here. Knowing Lucy she would have engulfed me in a hug, probably tackling me to the ground in the process as soon as I had walked in, if she were here.
Jacks voice broke me out of my thoughts, 'Well I'm happy to sit with you until your friend gets here.' My eyes widen, he said it so simply as if it were no big deal, but it was a big deal. For me anyway.
'Don't look so surprised,' he laughed, 'I'm not that bad am I?' He asked me jokingly.
'Not at all, I just thought I lost any chance of you wanting to actually socialise with me when I asked you to give me directions for a place but didn't tell you where.' I replied, wondering if he realised I wasn't joking.
'No, I thought that was cute.' He gave me a wink. I felt my face heat up, 'besides you aren't getting rid of me that easily,' he added with a smirk. Jack started to walk off when he called over his shoulder for me to find a table while he got some drinks.

After looking round more carefully this time, I spotted a table right by the window and quickly went to grab it. Although it was very empty in the cafe so I doubt I'd be getting into a fight anytime soon over this specific table. Once I sat down I realised I never actually told Jack what I wanted, I wasn't really bothered I was just curious as to what he would get.
Jack soon walked over carefully watching our drinks to make sure he didn't spill them. He placed mine infront of me then took his seat opposite me.
'Hot chocolate?' I shot Jack a amused look, who returned it with a childish grin spread across his face.
'Well you never told me want you wanted so I figured everyone loves hot chocolate,' I let out a small laugh before my phone starts blasting King for a Day. Jack must have worked it out by now that I know who he is.
'Hello,' I say answering my phone.
