Severus Snape was in front of a building which seemed to have seen better days. it had an old worn out look and it emitted a bitter, cold air.
he confirmed the address again and it was indeed the right place. this building was an orphanage and he was here to see the young 'potter brat' he scowled.
normally the letters would be sent through owls but Dorea Potter was not where she was supposed to be therefore the headmaster had sent him to hand over the letter and 'talk to her about our world' as the old fool has kindly put it.
there was no house no. 4 in privet drive anymore. after trying to find her through neighbours and with the help of magic her location was found to an orphanage.
this led to him sitting in a stuffy office talking to the matron.
"we don't have a Dorea Potter in our orphanage sir. perhaps is you could give me description we can see if we have someone similar? Suggested Mrs. Williams.
"yes, she has black hair green eyes and a scar on her forehead" Snape drawled recalling what the the old fool had told him she looked like.
"We have a girl named jade here who matches her, she came here after her family house was burned. Let me call her for you" Mrs. Williams called one of the caregivers and told her to call jade.
Snape's POV
" you said you're here to take her to a school for gifted is it?" Did she not hear me the first time "that's right she has been registered since birth her parents also attended. How long has she been here?" Why did I ask that? this has been happening for some time now I need get myself checked.
"It will be her third year here this 31st, she is very calm, beautiful and intelligent. She often visits the libraries but.." She pauses "You are going to take her right?"
i was intrigued " yes as i have said she has been registered since whatever you tell me would not change that" she released a breathe " uh well strange things happen near her like breaking of glasses, once a caregiver's hair turned blue and she never really bothers to make any friends and you know how children are taking each other things and pushing each other" Is she already following her prat of a father "they all bully her" " and you do nothing?" i scowled at the women.
she was quick to defend herself "How could we? We had no evidence but things changed oh how things changed" "what happened" "you see she had a snake with her when she came to the orphanage , Ben and Jason killed it and mocked jade calling her a freak" they killed her pet and she took no action 'calm down Severus calm down u can't kill a muggle women'
"Both boys were insane by the next morning we had to send them to the asylum the doctors have no idea what happened to them but I swear I saw jade smile and her eyes " the woman shuddered "They seem to be able to see persons darkest secrets, they are unsettling since then"
Snape felt his stomach become heavy he knew someone who once lived in a orphanage too
