Chapter 11

The sound of the shower rang through Sasuke and Narutos ears because Menma got up this morning and decided to get to the shower first. The Uchiha remembered vividly because, while half asleep this morning, Sasuke got pushed out of the bathroom doorway by the little black haired boy. Said he was "priorty." 

Naruto shoved all his clothes that were sprawled out on the floor into his backpack without even folding one piece of clothing. His methods were different from Sasuke, he counted every single thing he brought just to make sure he doesn't forget anything, then places each item in its correct place. Sasuke just watched him wrinkle every piece of clothing and damage his other belongings with a disappointed look on his face. Then as his eyes wondered, they made its way to the little black box that sat on the nightstand. 

After Naruto ran off, Sasuke followed him and gave him and ear full about never doing that again. All night, the three boys sat around the coffee table and discussed what it could be, but none opened it. Sasuke, being extra cautious, made up many dangerous possibilities that could result in opening the box to scare Menma out of doing so. Knowing he was Narutos son, he had to take such actions. 

After about an hour, they decided to sleep on it and take it with them as they moved towards their next destination. Naruto and Menma slept on the bed while Sasuke, voluntarily, took the couch. Sure he would've preferred the bed but he didn't want them to be tired because of a bad nights rest. Unlike those two, he can still function with no sleep. 

"Sasuke?" He heard Naruto say as he looked up from the black box to meet those concerned blue eyes. 

"You ok?" He said as he shoved his final shirt in his bag, and to no surprise it was his orange ramen shirt. Sasuke just nodded as Narutos smile began to grow once more. Before anyone could say anything, Menma burst out the bathroom in a white shirt along with small run down orange pants. Sasuke just looked away trying not to laugh.

"Awww, you look so cute!" Naruto says as he went in for a hug but gets completely rejected by Menma who was very angry. 

"You've gotta be kidding me! This is all you had?" He yelled towards Naruto who just giggled, trying to keep it under wraps. Before they left, Naruto gave Menma some of his old clothes that would fit him because he obviously didn't have anything to bring. Despite Menma wanting to reject everything from his younger father, he had to take it. 

"Orange is not my color." He said as he walked past both of them to go sit on the couch. Sasuke just looked over at Naruto who was dying as he walked over towards the bathroom with his fresh pair of underwear for the day. 

"You did that on purpose didn't you." Sasuke said, slightly smiling as he shook his head. 

"It was his only option. What could i do about?!" he laughed as he shut the bathroom door behind him leaving Sasuke with a moody child and the rest of his stuff to neatly pack into his bag. As he made it to the other side of the bed, he stared at Naruto's bag and how it had everything sticking out of it. How does Narutos wife put up with all this?

Sasuke sighed, grabbed it forcefully, dumped everything out in front of him, and began neatly organizing all his stuff.

It was an hour before noon as they set off on their long journey towards Orochimarus hideout. Sasuke estimated the time before they would get to the next town, would be about a week out. But, he really wanted to cut that time because staying in the forest with no one around is more dangerous. In a town, if you had someone trying to kill you, they would have more people to go through and more chakras to analyze rather than pin pointing your exact location under a tree. So, Sasuke made them run.
