A cool surface. Cool wind. Wisteria would've liked to stay asleep for a little while longer. However, her body was screaming at her to wake the hell up. Her brown eyes fluttered open. She woke up at the same time as her (now bald) brother. The duo was in a dimly lit, dingy room. The cool surface her face was laying on was a wooden table. Wisteria groaned groggily and rubbed her eyes. Wade instinctively reached out to her, placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Mr. and Ms. Wilson...." A slithery British accent cooed.

"Oh god, a British person. I have trauma with you people." Wisteria shuddered.

"You appeared to have soiled yourself while unconscious." The British man completely ignored Wisteria; his full attention was on Wade.

"Oh, ew-!" Wisteria moved her chair away from her brother and pushed off his hand.

"I-I wasn't unconscious!" Wade defended himself.

"Who- Who are you people?" Wisteria asked, pointing at the British man.

"I go by the name of Paradox. Mr. Paradox." The man answered. "And you're sitting here at the TVA. The Time Variants Authority."

The twins looked around the room. There was a door, but it was guarded. No escape, it seems.

"We're really a watch dog organization." Paradox continued. "Except we're more lighthearted than that sounds with a sort of.....throwback ironic twist. And we're in charge of defending what is known as the Sacred Timeline."

"Holy fuck, that is a shit ton of exposition for three-quel. Is this because I used Cable's time machine? Brought a couple of people back to life then I destroyed it. That was a long time ago!" Wade said.

"Huh, I was wonderin' how you did that." Wisteria whispered.

"Yes, we are aware of your abuse of your timeline." Paradox chimed in, shutting the sibling duo up. "You were so abusive of it! Ah, no, that has nothing to do with it though."

Paradox snapped his fingers.

"Walk with me."

The twins followed Paradox to a giant hub room. People were working around desks below, but they stared at the twins intently. Wisteria's eyes fell on the multiple monitors as the three walked up to a large desk that looked like a control panel.

"I brought you here, Mr. and Ms. Wilson, to tell you that you're both special. Take it as a compliment, in many cultures, twins are blessings."

Wisteria stayed close to her brother. Obviously, she couldn't trust Paradox yet. But she was curious as to why they were chosen. On what grounds did these people have to essentially kidnap them from their home? Wade, however, was eagerly listening without a care in the world.

"In fact, you both have been chosen for a higher purpose. A purpose unclear even to me."

The woman rolled her eyes. Great, now there's no answers to her questions.

"But one that could save the entire Sacred Timeline from a possibly grizzly fate sometime in the future which may very well need to be......avenged."

Wisteria perked up and stared at the man. No way. No fucking way.

"The Sacred Timeline...." Wisteria began.

"I assume we're going to.... marvel? At how....cinematic it feels?" Wade asked.

"Gratuitous cameos? Indiscriminate use of variants? The whole shabang?" Wisteria questioned.

"You tell me," Paradox replied as he fiddled with a weird phone thing in his hand.

A beep was heard, and Paradox motioned for the duo to look at the monitors. The videos of the Avengers played on all of them. The twins looked in awe. Wisteria glanced up at her brother, whose eyes were glued to the screens. She squeezed his hand gently, knowing that he wanted to be a part of the Earth's mightiest heroes.
