The morning started like any other. Lilith and Annabelle were walking to school, chatting about their day, giggling as they dodged puddles on the sidewalk. Annabelle, always eager to share her thoughts, told Lilith that she had a crush on someone new in school—a boy named Daniel. She gushed about him, unaware that Lilith liked him too. Lilith’s stomach twisted at the news, but she kept her face neutral, nodding along as Annabelle’s words stung deeper.
After a few days, Annabelle told Daniel how she felt, and soon they were dating. Lilith’s heart burned with jealousy. It wasn’t Annabelle’s fault, but she couldn’t help but feel betrayed. Her friend, the girl she trusted, had taken the one thing she wanted. Lilith stopped talking to Annabelle, ignoring her at school, giving her the cold shoulder even though she hadn’t done anything wrong. But the anger inside Lilith festered like an open wound.
One afternoon, in the cafeteria, Annabelle approached her with Daniel by her side. Annabelle asked why Lilith had been ignoring her. "What did I do?" she asked, her voice filled with confusion. Lilith, trying to play it cool, told her that she just wanted to give her and her new boyfriend some space.“Nonsense,” Annabelle replied, laughing off the tension. She suggested they all meet together at a café, with Daniel. Lilith forced a smile and agreed. But the bitterness didn’t leave her. It only grew stronger, especially when Annabelle walked home with her that day.As they walked, Annabelle wouldn’t stop talking about Daniel. She went on about how perfect he was, how great he was at chess, and how amazing their first kiss had been. The more she talked, the more Lilith’s jealousy morphed into something darker. Annabelle’s words became daggers, stabbing Lilith with every sentence. An idea crept into Lilith’s mind, an idea she couldn’t shake. She suggested they take a shortcut home through the forest, a path they usually avoided. Annabelle hesitated but trusted Lilith, following her into the dark, silent woods. The deeper they went, the quieter Annabelle became. Eventually, she stopped walking, shivering slightly as the forest grew darker. She turned around and said she wanted to go back. But when she looked back, Lilith was gone.“Lilith?” Annabelle called out, her voice trembling. She thought it was a prank. Maybe Lilith was hiding, trying to scare her. But as she waited, fear began to crawl up her spine. She heard footsteps creeping behind her. When she spun around, she saw Lilith standing there, holding a thick branch in her hands.Lilith’s face was twisted with rage, her eyes filled with something Annabelle had never seen before. Before Annabelle could say anything, Lilith swung the branch. It struck Annabelle’s head with a sickening thud. She screamed in pain, but Lilith didn’t stop. She hit her again, and again, with each blow screaming, “He was meant to be mine!”
Annabelle fell to the ground, her body lifeless, blood staining the forest floor. But Lilith wasn’t finished. She stood over Annabelle’s corpse, panting, shaking with adrenaline. “You were going to take him from me,” Lilith whispered, crouching down. “But don’t worry. I’ll kiss him better than you ever did, sweetheart.” She pressed her lips to Annabelle’s cold cheek, mockingly tender. With her hands shaking, Lilith dragged Annabelle’s body deeper into the forest and buried her beneath the thick roots of an old tree. She left no trace, no sign of what she had done. After covering the grave, she stood in silence, staring at the dirt. The weight of her actions was heavy, but Lilith wasn’t sorry. Not yet.
Later that night, Lilith saw a mysterious figure looming outside her window in the shadows , she couldn't see it well but one thing she was sure about is that it looked scary,it had two huge horns,a claw for it's left hand and wore tattered rags as clothes.
