Mya's POV: I woke up to my 6 a.m. alarm—it was so early. I walked into the bathroom, took a shower, and put on a simple white tee with some low-rise jeans and my Jordan 4s. I did a slick back because curly hair is too much to handle. I grabbed my purse and walked out the door. I started my car and played "Pink Matter" by Frank Ocean.

I arrived at the gym with my camera equipment and saw all the girls, and of course, Paige. I set up my stuff for when practice started; I was ready. Geno yelled that practice was starting. Twenty minutes later, Paige came up to me with those beautiful blue eyes.

"Hey Mya, Geno wanted me to tell you to focus on shooting pictures."

"Oh, okay," I said. "Got it, thank you for telling me."

I started taking pictures of everyone while they were shooting since they were doing scrimmages today. Once practice ended, I said goodbye to everyone, but Paige stopped me.

"Hey, you wanna come to Chick-fil-A with the team?"

"Oh, hi Paige, sure! What time?"

"Right now! We'll meet you there. See you in a little bit."

"Okay," I responded.

I arrived and saw the team sitting down. I walked over and said hi to everyone. Aubrey responded, "Hey Mya, you can sit next to Paige." I knew they kept doing this on purpose. Nika said, "Guys, come on, let's order the food!" We ordered, paid, and sat down. Everyone was talking to each other, so Paige and I started chatting.

"Hey Paige, you were doing great in practice today."

"Thank you, Mya! I try my best every day since the season is about to start."

Paige asked, "How did you find this job since you like volleyball?"

I responded, "Well, my best friend Emma and I were looking at jobs that hire around campus, and I found this one. I major in photography, so yeah."

Paige replied, "That's cool! Does your friend go here?"

I said, "Yeah, she does, but she works off campus."

"Oh, okay, so she only comes to campus at night?" Paige asked.

"Pretty much, yeah," I said as we finished our food.

---

Paige's POV: I could listen to Mya talk all day. Nika said, "Okay guys, we should have a sleepover at my house tonight." Everyone agreed except Mya, who didn't say anything.

"Kk, Mya, are you going to come? You didn't answer," Nika asked.

Mya responded, "Oh, yeah, I can come. I thought she was talking about just the team."

Nika replied, "You are part of our team; don't think you're not. We love you." Everyone agreed. Mya left, and we all got into my car.

Nika asked, "Paige, do you want to sleep with Mya? I need to know where everyone is sleeping."

"Umm, why Mya? We just met her yesterday," I replied.

"Because you're always staring at her, so yes or no?" Nika pressed.

"If she's fine with it, I guess. Alright, let me text her real quick." I texted her.

Nika said, "Paige, she said it was fine, so you guys are sharing the bed."

"Okay, whatever," I said as we arrived at my dorm.

---

Mya's POV: Nika texted me asking if I wanted to share a room with Paige. I thought that was a little weird, but I didn't mind. I packed my stuff for the sleepover, including my hair products since I have curly hair; I can't share products, probably only with Azzi. I packed everything up and headed to Nika's dorm.

I got on the elevator and walked up with all my bags. I knocked, and it was Paige. Paige looked at all my luggage.

"You're only staying for one night, lol," she said.

"I know, I'm an overpacker, lol," I replied.

Everyone else walked up and said hi. Nika said, "Hey Mya, you and Paige will sleep right here." I followed her to see the room and set my stuff down. We just chilled and watched movies while Nika and Jana made dinner.

Nika screamed, "Dinner's done!" We all came and ate. Once I was done, I put on my pajamas and lay in bed with Paige. She pulled me closer by the waist, so I was cuddling her. She smelled like sweet vanilla. As I fell asleep, she played with my hair until I drifted off.
