Previous night was free of any nightmare though I felt myself living in a beautiful utopia of my mind, somewhere where there was only me and him and no one else to perturb.

It was a night derived from my best fantasy woven into now a very good memory.

A memory I’d die for.

Die? Why did I think of that? No everything was going to be fine from now on.

Edward had told me last night that Malcolm and he had been planning a scheme for Merida’s escape and if luck favored them then it’d be sometime soon.

He needed to make me familiar with his plan because I had a role to play in it as well—a role I dreaded the most.

However for now, even I was compelled to stay in darkness nevertheless only for a little while until they decide how to move on with the first stage of their sketch.

And I was pretty sure it wouldn’t be any time in this week since the groom and bride was planning for their honeymoon.

I have to thank Malcolm once I see him today—for all he’s done for me. I thought.

I had many things on my mind right now but I wouldn’t focus on any of that, I wanted to solely heed my little knight who was curled up next to me in bed.

Much to my surprise  Edward took me to his bed last night and honestly it was way more comfortable than mine and I knew he noticed me snuggling against the sheets too.

After a long while I had finally enjoyed sleeping so much and undisturbed by any bad thoughts or demons lurking in the shadows in the corners of the rooms at night.

And the credit of it all went to him.

He was fast asleep beside me and behind him there was a balcony which demonstrated the sun rising behind the valleys.

It was an amazing sight as the sky turned from black to slight red, scarlet red that reminded me of blood in the sky and then it was all quickly masked by a blue glowing light and the sky was untainted and lucid as a mirror—the time-honored definition of purity.

I was standing on my elbow and my feet were trapped between his and one of his hands was wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to his chest.

I had no little luck at escaping or even walking out of bed to enjoy a mesmerizing sunrise so I put all my weight on my elbow and peeked from above his shoulder.

There was nothing out of ordinary about the day but as soon as the sound of birds chirping lowly outside approached my ears, it bound me to put some efforts to find the source of such a lovely sound.

My head was budging left to right in hopes to get a view of the bird that I didn’t realize how close my chest was getting to his face until his hot breaths hit my naked skin and I began to draw back.

However it seemed as if he wasn’t much fond of the idea for he pulled me closer to his face and nuzzled against my skin. I was smiling so much that my cheeks hurt and I knew for a fact that I was red as a tomato.

All of this was bringing me the flashbacks from last night.

He had carried me all the way from the forest to his place.

I’d thought we’re going to my room but when he entered into an exceptionally dark-themed aged building, looking like a haunted place I knew for a fact I was getting a taste of his pleasure, his fondness.

It scared me. The way he walked so effortlessly in the dark hallways without a caution. Everything about that house scared me but the fact that shook me from the core was that I was alone with him.
