It had been two days since Kairav's tilak, and today was the day everyone was leaving for the Gopi Mask Festival. Akshara was in her room, hurriedly packing her things when Vansh bhaiya's voice called out, "Akshu, aur kitni der?"
"Bas do minute, bhaiya!" Akshara shouted back, glancing in the mirror one last time. She had already done so a thousand times, but she still couldn't help herself. Satisfied, she grabbed her bag and rushed downstairs.
"Main aa gayi!" she declared; her voice filled with excitement as she reached the hall. Looking around, she noticed someone missing. "Aaru kahan hai?" she asked, searching for Arohi.
"Main yahi hoon, teri tarah late nahi," Arohi replied, walking out from the kitchen while eating a toast.
Akshara pouted, "Aaru, main bas do minute late hui hoon!" Her childish expression made Arohi roll her eyes.
"Ab sab aa gaye hain toh chalein?" Kairav asked, ready to get going. After bidding goodbye to the family, the younger generation left for the festival in their car.
As they all settled into the car, Vansh said, "Kairav, main Parth ko bata deta hoon ke hum nikal rhe hain." He dialed Parth's number while Kairav focused on the road.
Meanwhile, in the backseat, Akshara's mind wandered at the mention of Parth bhaiya. Her thoughts drifted to Abhimanyu. She quickly shook her head, trying to dismiss the image that had popped into her mind for the hundredth time.
Not wanting to daydream again, she turned her attention to the window, enjoying the cold breeze that brushed against her face. She took a deep breath, savouring the fresh air and the smell of nature. It relaxed her, reminding her how much she wanted to fully enjoy this trip before she started working and got lost in therapy sessions and patients.
Arohi, on the other hand, had closed her window to block the strong wind. She focused completely on her phone, shortlisting the best hospitals where she could complete her internship. Her ambition was clear—she wanted to learn from the best doctors and become the best herself. Her determination to excel in her field overpowered any excitement for the trip.
After an hour of driving, they finally arrived at the hotel. Akshara looked up at the grand structure, her eyes widening in awe. "Wow, bhaiya! Yeh hotel kitna sundar hai!" she exclaimed, unable to hide her amazement.
"Andar chal, andar se ye aur bhi sundar hai," Kairav said with a grin, grabbing his bag as they entered.
The inside of the hotel just as Kairav bhaiya said was even more impressive. A grand chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting shimmering lights that reflected off the walls, making everything appear even more majestic. Akshara was mesmerized by the beauty around her, soaking in the grandeur. It felt like stepping into a royal palace.
Since it was peak travel season, they had limited rooms. It was decided that everyone would share—Arohi and Akshara, Vansh and Kairav, Parth and Neil, Nishtha and Anisha, Abhimanyu and Kabir, Nimisha and Shefali.
As they walked to their rooms, Akshara couldn't contain her curiosity any longer. She had been wanting to ask this question the entire ride. "Bhai, Parth bhai log kab aayenge?"
"Kuch aadhe ghante mein," Kairav replied casually. "Kyun?"
"Bas... woh aayenge toh hum ghoomne ja sakte hain na, isliye," Akshara lied, her cheeks flushing slightly. In reality, she was just eager to see Abhimanyu again. She didn't understand why someone she had only met a few times was occupying so much of her thoughts. She had tried her best to push him out of her mind, but no matter how hard she tried, he kept slipping back in.
"Tu aur tera ghoomna," Kairav muttered under his breath, but Akshara didn't hear him. She was lost in her own world once again, her thoughts swirling around Abhimanyu. She had never been close to a guy before, other than her family members, and now, Abhimanyu, with just a few interactions, had left a deep impression on her. Why couldn't she stop thinking about him?
