𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 : 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓

It was the last day of summer break. I had gotten a new backpack for a fresh start to the school year. My friend group stayed the same and nothing has really changed since last year.

I freshened up a bit earlier to not sleep with wet hair. I brushed it and went to look for an outfit. Checking ny phone first for the weather tomorrow.

Everly and I continued to be friends, but she was starting to get more distant by day, it seemed. But I didn't mind it. Sometimes, it felt like this, where I would try not to overthink if she was talking with others, but that was for another day.

"Y/n, come down, please. Dinner's ready!" Mom shouted from the kitchen, and I sighed before yelling out 'okay'.

I put on some pj's, going downstairs to sit in my seat.

"Since tomorrow will be your first day of high school, are you excited? Here." She plated me my food, and I thanked her before answering.

"More like nervous. But I'll be okay, I think." I laugh to hide my nervousness, but could never in front of my mom. My mom smiled and served my dad some food as he came down to the kitchen. "Y/n, be ready for when I take you to school tomorrow. I can't afford to be late. And take this year serious, no slacking off, okay?"

My dad's hard on me. Some would call it tough love, but I don't see it or feel that way.

"Yea, I know, you don't have to remind me." I nod, and my mom finally sits down with us. They discuss about they're jobs while I sit there and pretend the food interests me. I would say food is my best friend at the moment.

"Thank you for the food, mom." I get up and wash my dish before leaving without looking back.

I check my phone to see a text from Everly. This is why I don't like to overthink. She's still my friend, and the quietness between us will only be for a short time.

We talked and talked, and I finished choosing my outfit as we planned the same one to wear.

Everly was over the moon for this new start. Now we were the younger ones, but she didn't care and obviously obsessed over finding a new crush. We laughed and ended the call shortly after. I set my alarms, and again, my eyes couldn't grasp sleep. This happened the middle of the 8th, where I would lay awake for a while before finally getting a shut eye. It had gotten worse, and I only kept it to myself. What kept me awake was probably the nerves as I played moments in my head for tomorrow before sleep caught up to me.

My alarm had rang but ignored it a couple of times before really getting up. Mom was always gone in the early morning hours and would be home by the afternoon. Dad was the only one home and would start taking me to school now.

I stretched, yawned, and sat in my bed before finally putting on my slippers and going to the bathroom.

I did my hair and brushed my teeth and my other business, quickly going to put on my outfit. I eyed myself in the mirror, looking for any stains or wrinkles, and once satisfied, I did some mascara, blush, and lip gloss. Before getting a call from Everly again. Yes, we did plan to call each other; it was more like for me to comfort her anxiety.

"Y/n, I feel like I'm forgetting something! I double-checked my list, but I feel off..." She spoke as she pouted and tapped her cheek to think.

"Myabe, you're just anxious, I mean, it's been a while. Did you put notebooks, pencils, pens, and your computer, and schedule in hand?" I looked on the side where she was while she started realizing what she was missing.

She quickly checked her backpack to see her computer missing.

"Y/n to the rescue, your reminder was much needed." She laughed as she quickly remembered where she placed the computer, leaving me to give her a look of approval. I gathered my stuff as well, and before Dad had called me to leave. I had spent most of the drive chatting with Everly as she left a couple of minutes after.

I said bye to my Dad before going to wait for Everly, and when we saw each other, she smiled instantly as we both started walking to our group.

The bell rang as I went in with another one of my friends instead of Everly. Madison. She was amongst our group, and we talked in person rather than online like I did with Everly.

I didn't have classes with Everly until after lunch. So we would group together again later.

I sat down with Madison in history. There were no assigned seats yet, and our teacher was to see how we would behave. "Welcome to History! Since it's our first day of school, I will be introducing myself, and then everyone will have a turn!" Our teacher was pretty chill, and the work would be the complete opposite as the months passed.

Though this year would be most interesting right when school started, where I would meet Geto Suguru, Gojo Satoru, and his friends whom we now have become as 1 with each other.

During 4th period, I would be introduced and sat next to Satoru Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna in my class as well, though put no mind into it.

"So what's your name? I'm Gojo Satoru!" He smiled with his mouth and ocean eyes, as the teacher told us to conversate and get to know our partners who we would be with the rest of the year, and slowly, I became open to him as he did with me becoming friends in the first week within that class.

AN- a bit busy, this chapter I wrote a couple days ago. Hopefully, this entertains you and the development of the story. Love and blessings!
