Two days later, the entire Long clan finally settled down completely in the valley. The overall state of the valley wasn't changed and even the buildings where the Lei clan lived weren't changed, only improved with some new palaces and halls being built.
With the resources left behind by the Lei clan, the Long clan completely focused on building it's strength. Almost all the clan disciples were either cultivating or listening to lectures from either the old clan chief who was now the supreme elder of the clan or Long Yuan, the clan chief.
Coupled with the ambient natural energies in the valley, Long Feng was confident that in a year or two, the Long clan will have it's first group of spirit realm cultivators. Who knows? It could even be his father.
At this moment, he was finally ready to leave and return to the Mortal heaven sect. After all, the main reason he came to the star mountain city was to settle the Long clan down and keep them out of danger. Now that he had achieved this, there was naturally nothing holding him back here.
The night before he left, Long Yuan and the old clan chief gathered only a few elders and clan members to meet Long Feng in his room that night.
The old clan chief mainly spoke, advising him and constantly reminding him on somethings. Long Feng listened and repeatedly nodded with a warm smile.
Long Yuan stood behind the old clan chief and stared at Long Feng with a faint smile.
"The Long clan is stronger than it has ever been right now. With this land, we will only get stronger. The clan is safe"
Long Feng nodded.
"Then I'll be leaving by tomorrow, father, grandfather"
The other elders also praised him and wished him luck before they all left the room. When only the old clan chief, Long Yuan and Long Feng were left in the room, Long Yuan called out to him,
"Feng'er!"
Long Feng paused,
"Yes father?"
"I have something to tell you…" Long Yuan spoke and paused, seeming slightly hesitant.
Long Feng prepared to listen attentively, probably to a word or two of advice from his father. But his father's next words left him shaken and confused.
"Regarding your family_" Long Yuan added.
Long Feng paused, dumbfounded, and it showed on his face.
"My family? You mean…"
"That's right, your real family, your parent. I've thought over this several times before I finally decided to tell you. My father also agreed that you deserved to know. You are getting stronger and stronger. It's time you knew somethings." Long Yuan nodded, as if he could read Long Feng's mind.
Long Feng looked conflicted for a moment before he spoke.
"I don't want to know. In this life, you're my father and this is my clan. Nothing will change that. I do not want to know anything"
Long Yuan smiled.
"I understand what you mean, and I feel personally would have preferred to keep this away from you, to keep you tired up to this clan, but my concious would never find peace if I do that. When I think of your mother, worried about you, I just can't bring myself to do that. Your parent are out there somewhere and you are duty bound to find them"
Long Feng remained silent, having nothing to say in response. Long Yuan was right. Back them, Wu Kong had mentioned that his parent were put in a spot due to him and had no choice but to leave him here, for his safety. His previous thoughts were wrong.
Seeing that Long Feng understood, Long Yuan continued,
"Back then, I traveled alot. I travelled to various cities in four provinces before I settled down and got married to someone from a prominent clan in another province" at this point, Long Yuan smiled, obviously remembers some good memories.
