That little girl inside of me just wanted to be free—to escape the nightmares that clung to her heart, weighing her down for so long.

“Am I aromantic?” she wondered, searching her soul for answers. For years, she had chased love, believing something was wrong for not experiencing it the way others did. The question lingered, a quiet doubt in her heart. She knew she had to explore it, to confront the uncertainty that had been gnawing at her.

And so, she followed her curiosity, delving into the unknown. She searched for answers, and thankfully, she found them.

“Oh, I’m not.”

With that realization, everything shifted. The desperation for love—the need to be seen, to be wanted—began to fade. She understood now that love wasn’t something she had to chase. It would come when the time was right, but she no longer needed it to define her.

She wasn’t turning her back on love. She still believed in it, still knew it was real. But she no longer felt desperate for it. Instead, she chose to focus on herself, to nurture her own heart, her own dreams. She wanted to be ready for love, not as someone searching for completion, but as someone already whole.

One day, she knew, someone would see her for who she truly was. Someone who could make her laugh the way she used to, with that pure, unburdened joy she hadn’t felt in years. Someone who would protect her, love her with all his heart, and cherish her with a sincerity she now realized she deserved.

But until then, she was content. She had dreams to chase, a life to live. She was learning to love herself, and that was enough. She was taking care of herself in ways she had neglected for too long—nurturing her soul, healing her wounds, and finding joy in her own company.

Whatever came next, she was ready. What had once been her pain had now become her strength. The battles she fought were no longer a source of suffering; they were the foundation of her growth, the fire that had forged her into someone stronger, someone wiser.

And as she walked this path of self-discovery and healing, she realized one thing: She was the perfect muse of her own story.
