The she-cat sat silently among the fronds inside the nursery, gently shifting her weight as she gazed down at her sister, whom lay curled around three, small white bundles of fur.

"Oh sister, if only I'd been alive to be here with you." Her meow, thick with emotion, broke the deafening silence. Her once groomed, sleek white fur was now ruffled, as her starry claws worked in the nest below her. Her littermate softly snored, shifting in her nest.

"I love you." The StarClan she-cat said quietly, touching her nose to the sleeping Queen's pelt before backing out of the den, and heading toward the entrance of the clan.

Why must life be so peaceful when I'm dead?

She thought bitterly, as she stalked through the thorn tunnel, out into the lightened forest. She set her paws down lightly, drinking in the familiar scent of the oak forest, the sound of birdsong filling the air as the aroma of flowers bathed her tongue. A bright, orange butterfly flew into view, gently settling itself among her nose.

"Oh, you gorgeous creature." She softly murmured, not long before the insect took to the air and up into the trees.

A sudden rustle in the bushes made her snap back to reality, quickly whipping around to see whom it may be. A black cat leapt from the undergrowth, halting at an alarming speed. It took once glance at the she-cat, it's hackles raised. That was the unmistakable starry pelt of a StarClan cat.

Or, some sort of dead, spirit cat for that case.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" She began slowly, her lip curling into the beginnings of a snarl, revealing sharp pointed teeth. The stranger wasn't familiar, and they very much so did not seem friendly.

"You look just like her!" He yowled, tripping backwards.

"Like who?" Her voice cracked as she asked.

"Like your sisters kit- the eldest one of the bunch! She'll bring destruction to these pathetic clans!" He replied angrily, yet there was the distinctive reflect of fear in his eyes. Without question nor answer, he ran straight past her, into the bushes and out of sight.

The she-cat, breathing heavily, turned and pelted back to the camp. She slid through the thorn tunnel and halted at the prey pile, where there was a grey furred warrior glancing carefully among the meagre pickings.

"I know you can't see me nor hear me..." because I'm dead and you're not . She began, frustration churning in her belly.

I have to try! You have to try...try to listen...

"But please!" The spirit warrior pleaded, and the warriors head jerked up, as she suspiciously looked around, her gaze slipping right through the dead she-cat.

"Greycloud, try to listen to me! This is about your niece!"

AUTHORS NOTE: Pretty short, but the prologue wasn't meant to be long anyways. Anyhow, I'm continuing my fan fiction after I started a long time ago and stopped. Procrastination, am I right? Anyhow, leave a comment and vote if you enjoyed, thanks!
