Luella loved early mornings. She loved how there would be a slight chill in the air, and how it's a bit dim and foggy at times. She was always up before her two roommates– well now three because Hermione got reassigned to Luella's, Xyrene's, and Dahlia's room.

The light brunette was curled up in a big, fluffy armchair by the fireplace, which had only a little, dying fire left. She had a plain black coffee in her hands as she read the Bell Jar. Her tabby cat, Maple, was cuddled up against her.

It was only six in the morning, about half an hour before the rest of the students started to emerge out of their dormitories for breakfast.

Their classes start at nine, so the morning was the perfect time for her to decompress before the day started. However, this peace was ruined by the grating, loud voices of Harry and Ron who were clambering loudly down the stairs.

When they reached the common room Harry grinned at the sight of Luella cocooned up in blankets and practically being swallowed by the armchair, "Real comfy there aren't you, Lue'?" he said

"Why yes I am, and it was quite peaceful before you came stomping downstairs," she said glowering at the boy.

Ron looked offended at the accusation of them being loud, "We are not that loud!" he exclaimed

Luella looked between the two who were just standing there before her and gave them a blank look. She turned back to her book trying to see where she left off.

She got two words into it before she realized they were still standing there. She sighed and looked up from her book at the two— their faces were stupid.

"What?"

The two boys shared a look, "Do you happen to know Alan Fawley?"

Luella thought for a second, "I don't know him personally but I know of him. He's an acquaintance of my brother," she looked at them suspiciously, "Why?"

She did know his girlfriend though, Sofia Gaunt, a complete arsehole. Sofia had it out for Luella ever since Luella got the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy in the school's production of The Nutcracker in their second year.

It was a whole shitshow that consisted of hiding Luella's pointe shoes every performance, to putting rat poison in her food. Very much a petty teenager ordeal. So to say the least, Sofia hated Luella.

Harry spoke up again, "We were just curious, that's all." he said, shrugging innocently.

She knew that they were up to something involving Alan, but she honestly didn't care, if anything she hoped Sofia would be caught in the crossfire.

"Whatever just don't cause any unnecessary harm," she said looking at her book.

Harry gasped in fake horror, "We would never dare LueLue!" he nudged Ron with his arm
