HEY GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS HOW R U DOINGGGGGGGGGGGG WELCOME BACKKKKKK

YALL BETTER BE LIKING THIS SO FAR

Nico's POV:

The rest of the day passes super slowly, probably because I'm staring at the clock the whole time, orrrr it's just cause SCHOOL IS THE MOST BORING ASS THING IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD! Sorry, I just had to say it.

Luckily, nobody except Will and the three morons know about what happened 2nd period, so I don't think my dad should hit me tonight. But I'll still be prepared anyways, because his mood swings rival my sisters when she's on her period. I figured out during lunch I have 1st period with Frank, Piper, and Jason. Lovely. I can't complain too much though, because they're super nice and told me I should sit with them during class. I also have Greek with Percy and Leo, Gym with Frank, Piper, Percy, and Annabeth, History with Annabeth, and social studies with Jason and Percy. And my locker is right next to Annabeth's, because our last names have letters that are next to each other in the alphabet. So in summary, now I have to deal with Will, and Hazel's friends in class. Fun right?

Now, me, Hazel and Will are walking home together, it's become a tradition. "How was your guys's day?" Hazel asks me and Will. Will thinks for a second. "Mine was pretty good, except for the learning part. It was fun to watch Nico awkwardly try to talk to Percy, Jason, and Annabeth." He says, grinning. I punch him lightly in the shoulder. "Yeah, thanks for helping me out with that Solace." I say sarcastically. He winks. "You're welcome."

I glare at him. Hazel is looking back and fourth between us with a raised eyebrow. What? I mouth to her. She smiles and shrugs, then continues watching us. I huff. Siblings are annoying.

We drop Will off at his house then make our way back to our house. "Why were you looking at me and Will like that?" I ask, crossing my arms. Hazel shrugs again. "I dunno, I'm just happy you're finally getting close with someone!" She says. I feel my face heat up. "We're not close!" I protest. Hazel nods skeptically and looks me up and down. I sigh and look away. "I literally met him like 4 days ago."

"You can't deny that he's your friend." Hazel says. "We aren't-" I pause, thinking back to this morning. He knew something was wrong and he didn't even hesitate to leave class and look for me. Will put himself in a position where he could've gotten hurt too, just so he could help me. He even called us friends. "I guess we are kinda friends." I mumble. Hazel gasps and stops walking. "YOU ADMITTED IT!!!!!!!" She screeches. I cringe and pull my hood further over my head. "My brother has a friend!!!!!!!!!" She pulls her phone out. "I'm sending this to the groupchat! This is a moment in history!" She exclaims. I huff and try to snatch her phone but she pushes me away. She types something at the speed of light and before I can tackle her she puts her phone back in her pocket. "Sent." She says smugly.

I groan and stomp up the driveway. Hazel laughs and catches up with me. "Hey, but seriously Nico I'm proud of you!" Her eyes light up suddenly. "Oh my gods! We should totally go to the beach! You can invite Will! And I'll invite Leo, Frank, Piper, Jason, Annabeth and Percy! We could all hang out, and we can pack lunch and stay all day!" She suggests excitedly. I shake my head hard. "No. I am not doing that." I say firmly. Hazel looks at me with puppy eyes. "Pleaseeeeee it would be so fun!" I try to hold her stare but she wins like always. "Fine. But I'm not swimming!" I grumble. She claps her hands. "Yay! I'll tell the others and we can go on Saturday!" (I kindaaa forgot what day we're on so I'm just gonna say it's Thursday!) We walk into the house. "Okay, but you owe me!" I mumble before trudging up to my room. "Anything for you dear brother!"

I roll my eyes and flop onto my bed, picking up my phone. I glare at the screen for a second before sighing and unlocking it, pulling up messages. But before I can start texting Will, I receive a call. From Will. I hesitate. Should I answer? I don't really feel like talking to anyone right now. I shrug and answer the call. I have to ask him if he want to go to the beach anyways. "Hello?" I ask.

"Hi death boy!" I hear his sunny voice say from the other end. "Death boy?" I repeat, confused. Where did that come from? "Yeah! It's a new nickname I come up with! You know because you keep almost dying and your emo." He responds. I roll my eyes. "No, that nickname is stupid." I say. Will laughs. "Yeah that's your new contact name." He says, amused. "No! Solace, I swear if you put that as-" I start, but Will interrupts me. "Annnnnd set. Okay! You're now death boy!"

I huff. "You're the most annoying person ever!" I flip over onto my stomach. "Anyways, what did you call me for?" I ask. "I just wanted to check in on you, I didn't really get to ask if you were okay after those morons punched you and stuff." His voice sounds kind of timid. "Oh. Yeah, I'm okay, that was nothing. Thanks again for fixing me up." I feel my cheeks flush. "No problem Neeks." There's a beat of silence. "Oh, Hazel wanted me to ask you if you wanna come to the beach with us and the 6 sitting with us at lunch today on Saturday." I ask sheepishly. Another second of silence. "Sure, as long as you're going death boy." He responds. "O-Okay um yeah I'm going, I'll text you the details later." My face feels like it's on fire. Why did he say it like that!?!??!?!?!?!?  "Sounds good!" Will says happily.

"See you tomorrow Solace." I say and hang up quickly. I take a deep breath. Okay, so that's happening now. Do I even have a swimsuit? I stand and start walking to Hazel's room. It's not like I'm gonna swim anyways. I knock on Hazel's door. "Come in!" She yells from the other side. I poke my head in. "Will said yes." I say quickly. Hazel's face lights up. "Really? Yay!"

I go to close the door, but Hazel throws a book that wedges between the doorframe, preventing me from shutting it. "Wait wait wait. You don't have a swimsuit." She says with an evil smirk. I swallow. "Uh, well um I'm not gonna swim-" Hazel cuts me off. "We're going shopping tomorrow after school." She says matter of factly, turning back to her phone. "Nuh uh!" I protest, but she throws another book, this time at me. I duck. She turns to look at me with a raised eyebrow, and I glare at her. "Is anyone else going?" I ask. She nods. "Yup! I invited Frank, and Piper! And Piper said she's gonna bring Jason!" She says cheerily. "No." I say firmly. Hazel picks up a hardcover this time and aims it at me. "Okay! Okay fine!" I say, putting my hands up in surrender before she can throw it. She grins. "Yayyyy!" She claps her hands innocently like she didn't just threaten me with a book. "I will escape the minute you turn your back." I threaten, before quickly moving out of the doorframe as a third book sails through the air where I was just standing.
