Alastor has been standing outside the Ravette Manor for Scarlett for over an hour, waiting for her to say her final goodbyes to her family. He sighs and leans back against the carriage pulled by black horses with white manes and red eyes. He crosses his arms while holding his black steel swan head staff. He closes his eyes, trying to be patient and calm himself. As an empathic vampire, he can sense others' emotions but also project his feelings onto others very easily, and sometimes that isn't the best idea.

His long black hair blows in the gentle breeze, gradually getting tangled, but he doesn't care that much. He wants to see Scarlett and take her home, but goddamn is she taking forever. He sits up and fixes his ultramarine blue trench coat, making sure it is clasped. He finds one golden button that is loose and when he goes to fix it, it just plummets to the ground. Cling! Cling! Cling! He sighs loudly and rolls his eyes, thinking to himself, "Great!"

He bends down to start looking for it when he finally hears the doors of the Ravette Manor open. He immediately stands back up, standing straight. He meets eyes with a petite vampireborn with long, pure white hair, ruby eyes, and a presence that just radiates her beauty. She stands wearing a knee-length red dress and a black shawl around her shoulders. She wears white tights and black knee-high boots. She carries no bags with her or anything, which slightly confuses Alastor, but then he shrugs it away, watching this beautiful woman cascade down the long staircase to the large black and white building. She is just so breathtaking.

He can sense her nerves from here and a spell coming off of her. It bounces through his head until he places what spell, Minor Complex Cloak. It is a spell that hides your complexion, mainly acne, bruises, and even wounds, depending on how minor or major they are. The closer she gets the more of her emotions he can place: anxiety, nervousness, a type of urgency, discomfort, hope, fear, uncertainty, and excitement.

Her eyes meet his when they're standing six feet apart and they just kind of stare at each other. Scarlett blushes softly and looks down for a moment before looking back up to say something, but is interrupted before she can speak by the manor door opening and closing again.

"Scarlett, are you going to leave without giving your father a goodbye? That's rather insulting is it not?"

Scarlett sighs and grimaces at the same time, her emotions changing drastically. Alastor senses the mood shift to straight fear. It's unsettling to Alastor. He looks up at Lord Krumor Ravette, Scarlett's father. He is the patriarch of the Ravette clan. His hair matches Scarlett's and so do his eyes, but instead of a gentleness, they are hard and piercing. There is a vibe to him that even makes Alastor nervous, and he doesn't scare that easily. All he knows is that he doesn't like this man.

"Father, I mean no disrespect, I just know that I've left my husband waiting out here for quite a while already, don't you think?" Scarlett asks. Her voice is soft and musical to Alastor's ears. Scarlett doesn't turn around to even look at her father while she addresses him.

"Look at me, Scarlett," Krumor demands. Scarlett's fear heightens and she hesitates to turn around, but eventually follows his request. Scarlett sees Krumor standing right behind her, their faces inches apart, he whispers, "Now, you be the wonderful woman I raised for Lord Swan, do you understand me?"

"Y-Yes, Father," Scarlett stutters nervously as she looks up at the tall vampireborn in front of her.

Krumor pushes a hair behind her ear and kisses her forehead, but Scarlett doesn't stay there long. She pulls away and steps back, "O-Okay, um, goodbye, Father, I'll see you at the um, marriage banquet, yes?"

Krumor nods, "Indeed. See you then." Krumor doesn't even acknowledge Alastor standing there and turns away before he speaks, "Lord Swan, take care of my daughter, she is a precious commodity." Krumor then walks away back up the long staircase.
