Chapter 12

All three of them were standing silently, not knowing what to do. Both Aditya and Tanvi wanted to go, but didn't know how to ask. Sneha was about to ask Aditya, to be her partner but was interrupted by Aarav, who came along with Tarun. "Hey beautiful! Would you like to be my partner?" He asked Sneha with a small smile. Aarav and Sneha were of the same age, they knew each other since school days but didn't speak much. Aarav had a crush on Sneha since then, but didn't have the guts to confess to her.

"Hi, Aarav. Umm... Yeah sure." she hesitated a little, but eventually said yes. But before Aarav could go he looked towards Aditya, winked at him and left.

"Are you guys going to go or are you waiting for the games to get over?" Tarun said. "But what about you? Don't you wanna go?" Tanvi asked him. "No. I'm not interested in these silly games. I'll enjoy some drinks there. You guys carry on and you be careful." He said while pointing towards Tanvi. Saying this, he left the two alone.

I looked at Tanvi and forwarded my hand which she gladly accepted. She gave me a beautiful smile and we moved towards the stage. The host asked us our names and asked us to stand behind the other couples.

"So ladies and gentlemen, let's begin with the fun. You guys will be given a balloon and you'll have to balance it between your back and move towards the final line, if the balloon falls down you have to start it all again. Simple isn't it? But the twist is the guys will be blind folded and the girls have to direct them to reach the final point." He said. I looked at Tanvi to see her very excited and her eyes had a twinkle in them as you see in a small child who wants candy. Seeing her so excited made me want to win this game for her.

We took our positions and I was blind folded. After a few minutes, I felt her behind me, and I could feel her back touch my back and suddenly I felt her soft small hands interlinking with mine big and rough ones. They fitted so well with each other. "All the best Adi!! We have to win this!!" She said. "All the best to you too! We'll win but please be careful with your toe, are you sure you'll be able to walk? If it hurts we can skip this-" she cut me off by giving my hand a squeeze, "Relax Adi, and my toe is fine now, don't worry! Now just focus on my voice and we'll go slow, start with your left leg first and I'll start with the right." She said it so cutely, like explaining some strategies to win.

The host voice made us alert. "Are you guys ready? Let's begin in 3, 2, 1!!" As soon as he completed the count down the audience started to cheer for us. Tanvi instructed me and we followed her strategy and soon we heard the crowd scream with excitement. I felt Tanvi leave my hand as she came in front of me and hugged me tightly. I was taken aback, but a few seconds later, I removed the blind fold and hugged her back. "Adi we won!!!" She said giggling.

I smiled looking at her. If anyone would have told me 2-3 months back that I would play a game with a girl like this I would have smacked his head. But here I am feeling so happy looking at this beautiful girl.

The next game was to make our partner's hairstyle using some flowers. I first thought it was easy but her hair was too long and when she asked me if I knew any hairstyle, I could only think of a ponytail.
"Adi ponytails are too common, wait I'll teach you, you just follow my instructions." She said. As the game started it became more interesting. I was very careful not to hurt her. The hairstyle she suggested was a little difficult maybe because I'm doing it for the first time?

But I love her hair as they are so soft and naturally straight. "Ha now make a small braid from the front." "Ha, ok." "Leave some flicks from the front." "Woh kya hota hai?" "Aree, samne ke chote baal; I would have removed it but I'm not allowed to touch or help you by doing it." "Aacha, abhi thik hai?" "Ha, perfect. Now take the U-pins and secure the braids behind." "Now the tricky part, the messy bun." "Relax, ho jayega." "Ha Maine mom ko dekha hai yeh banate wakt. So this I'll manage." "Oh achha, ok."

I started making the bun and finally with a little scolding and lots of pins, her hairstyle was completed!

We played a few more games and won a few others. In the end we were given gifts for winning the games. We got down the stage with our friends who had also won a few of them. We had our dinner at a restaurant by the beach. And clicked many pictures.

It was a nice and fun day for each one of us. We came back to the resort and departed to our rooms to get some rest. I was helping Tanvi to walk, though her toe is better now and she can walk on her own, but I still wanted to help her, as she was a little tired too. "Adi, thank you so much for today. I had a lot of fun." She said as we stood outside her room. "You don't need to thank me. In fact I too enjoyed the time with you... I mean with everyone." I don't know why but when I'm with her I feel a little nervous but in a good way... I scratched my neck nervously. She laughed at my nervousness and pecked my cheek. "Good night Adi." She whispered and went inside her room. I froze there and couldn't believe what just happened.

I felt heat rush towards my neck. I came to my room and looked in the mirror, I had my ears turn pink. There was a slight lipstick mark on my cheek where she just kissed.

I took a shower and came back to my bed. As I closed my eyes, I got the flashback of today and how it ended. Indeed it's a good night. And soon sleep consumed me...
