5 - BET

A continuous ringing sound of the phone echoed through the room, making the sleepyhead groan in frustration.

"What?" she asked in her cracked, sleepy voice without caring who was on the other side.
"Good morning to you too sweetheart," a deep honey voice softly spoke.
"Mat, stop disturbing me early morning," Satori spoke, but her insides... were dying to hear the deep voice once again.
"Well, my girl. You better get ready and bring your ass down because me and Sam don't want to get late because of you," Mat chuckled and spoke, making her jump and look at the clock which showed that it's almost time for her first class.
"Shit, shit, shit" she continuously cursed herself and ran to the bathroom. Within 15 minutes she got ready and ran down.
"Satori, your breakfas-", "NOT NOW MOM!!!" Satori replied while running outside.
"FAST!!" Sam shouted from within the car. Satori, who hasn't even tied the laces of her shoes, ran and sat in the car.
"Geez, you stink Panda," Sam exclaimed with disgust as soon she stepped inside.
"I didn't have time to shower," Satori replied while tying the shoelaces, when all of a sudden she saw a tiffin being passed to her.
"What?" she asked while holding the tiffin.
"I know you didn't have breakfast, have this," Mat said while scrolling through his phone.
Satori chuckled and opened the tiffin, finding her favorite home-made sandwiches inside.
"You know what you both are indeed a perfect couple, Mat makes my car stink with his farts and you make my car stink by not taking a bath," Sam looked frustrated while Satori and Mat burst out laughing.

After reaching campus, the boys went to their department while Satori rushed to hers.
The class was already going on when Satori entered with a bang noise.
"Miss Quincy, where are your manners?" The professor who was explaining the course before, halted and shouted at the young girl.
"I am sorry professor," Satori apologized while panting. Professor sighed and let her enter without any warning.
Satori made her way towards where Eden was sitting and sat beside her.
Eden looked at her with one raised eyebrow, but then looked back at her notes which she printed in the morning. Satori wanted to greet her, but stopped after finding the professor's gaze on her, she let out an awkward chuckle and took out her notes.
The lecture continued for a while, till it was time for another lecture. Eden packed her bag and made her way to the other class, leaving Satori behind. Satori looked at her walking ahead of her and wondered.
'What should I ask her?... Did you have a good night's sleep? No, what kind of a creepy question is that, What did you have for breakfast? No, we are not that close,' Satori was so engrossed in her thoughts, that she didn't notice Eden stopped walking, making her bump her into her head.

"Ouch!" Satori rubbed her forehead, which bumped into Eden's head. Eden turned around and looked at her. "Do you wanna ask something?" Eden asked, Satori looked at her with wide eyes and questioned herself, 'how does she know?'.
"No, nothing." Satori replied, Eden looked at her for a few seconds and again started walking.
"Hey!" Satori called Eden, making her turn back, "Would you like to have lunch with me and my friends?" Eden didn't say anything for a moment but then nodded and entered the class on her left.
Satori couldn't help but feel a little happy, it wasn't a big move, but it is... something.
'I feel like a boy who is running after his dream woman,' she chuckled at her own thoughts and went inside as well.

Just like that, more than 2 hours passed by and it was finally break time.
"Let's go," Satori said once Eden was done packing her bag. She immediately held her hand and dragged her.
'What's with her dragging me everywhere?' Eden questioned while looking at her hand which was in the other's hold.

After a few minutes they entered the cafeteria, Satori started looking for her friends. Due to the crowd it was becoming difficult for her.
On the other side, Mat was continuously looking at the entrance door waiting for his girlfriend.
He was sitting in front of Sam, two chairs vacant, each beside one of them.
"She will come, why are you so anxious?" Sam said while taking a bite of the hamburger he bought for himself.
"I am hungry and she will kill me if I start eating without her," Mat replied looking at the other one who was enjoying his meal.
Mat couldn't help but gulp the saliva which formed in his mouth.
"Can I ta-", "No," Before Mat could complete his sentence Sam replied. Mat made a pitiful face, but Sam didn't give two cents.
"Can't you give me even a bite?" Mat asked, "No," Sam replied, "Your one bite is equivalent to one whole burger," Mat sighed knowing that he isn't going to get it.
"Which song are you listening to?" Mat asked after spotting one earplug in his left ear. "Say yes to Heaven... I am trying to learn the violin cover," Sam replied while Mat nodded his head acting grumpy but immediately turned happy after spotting Satori. He raised his hand to help Satori locate him. Satori saw him and walked near their table, but Mat's smile dropped after seeing Eden with her.
"Seriously, what is the new girl doing with her?" He said with jealousy.
