Sitting on the couch of her living room, she was answering the questions being asked to her.
"And then you took him to his house, none of them came back?" the lady cop asked while having a clipboard with paper in her hand.
"Yes," Eden tried her best to keep all the answers short and simple, not making things complicated.
"So, you didn't see anyone's face, nothing which will help us identify them?" the male cop asked looking at Eden with his serious gaze.
"Few of them had tattoos, their clothes didn't have anything specific which I could remember. To be honest, I was scared too. So, I didn't really pay attention to their appearance at that time... I just wanted to save him," She said everything with a timid voice trying to show, how scared she was. On the other side Andrea listened to everything carefully. She had a little doubt on Eden yesterday but now when she saw how the young girl was answering everything, her suspicion was vanishing.
"Well... that's all we wanted to know. We might call you in future if we would need more information or help. Hope you will cooperate," the lady cop said while flipping through the pages.
"I will," Eden nodded her head and replied.

"Before going away, please fill this up. It consists some basic information, we need this as you were the only eye-witness," The male cop said while handing her a sheet, "...and here is my phone number, if you remember something important, do let me know," he passed the business card once she was done filling the form.
The male cop wasn't really old, he was just a few years older than Eden. But his position was surely not small. The man was surely intimidating, but Eden has also met more dangerous and scary looking people than him. He looked at Eden and then a bit around the house. His eyes were sharp.
'Some study notes on the table, a little messy kitchen, bag laying randomly on the couch. She is just a normal Uni student, nothing suspicious',
Eden watched how his eyes moved, like he was clicking pictures with his mind. She understood that he is a guy to be cautious of.

"Well, we will take our leave, take care," the female said while passing a small smile to Eden, the male just nodded his head and moved out.
Once both the cops were out, Eden looked at Andrea who was still standing in the living room.
"Do you need something?" Eden asked politely. Making Andrea feel guilty for doubting her.
"No, umm... sorry that I came here with the cops without prior notice. Actually, we decided to file a complaint against those goons as we didn't want them to again attack Cormac, while filing the case they told us that they wanna question you. I wanted to inform you, but I didn't have your number," Andrea stopped in between.
"You didn't have my number. So, you decided to bring them straight up here, right?"
"Yes, I am sorry. I know the police thing can be frustrating," Andrea looked down feeling bad.

Eden also heaved out a sigh and plopped on the couch, followed by Andrea... frustrating? Eden was pissed, but didn't want to show. She knew that this was her moment... her moment to get close to Andrea.
Eden looked at the older girl and passed a small smile and spoke, "I get it Andrea, you did this for Cormac's safety and I don't have any problems, but only if you would have come here and asked me to come with you to the station. I would have gone with you," Eden made a sad face and continued, "You see, I am new here and don't have any friends around. If cops would show up like this then people would think ill of me and make assumptions,"

'Like I give a damn about what others think about me,' She thought to herself, but on the other hand her sympathy plan worked. Andrea started to regret taking a rushed decision. She kind of thought that when she would bring cops straight to her house, Eden would spit out something which would prove that maybe, she was... involved in all this.
"Oh, come on. Who said that you are alone? You have me and Cormac. That boy is literally talking about you since yesterday," Andrea laughed a bit and tried to comfort Eden, which wasn't really needed.
"Hey, umm... how did you know my apartment number? I never told you that," Eden asked curiously,
"Actually, yesterday when you went inside the building. I stayed outside for a few minutes and then, I saw the lights of this apartment turning on. So, I assumed this one might be yours," Andrea gave a nervous smile and replied.
