"-disturbance. Just moments ago, the police van containing the three most wanted villains, Tomura Shigaraki, Mr Compress and Kai Chisaki, villain name: Overhaul, was attacked. The Sand Hero: Snatch, was found dead attempting to stop the disruption and protect the police. "Well, isn't that lovely." Eraserhead said sarcastically in the hospital lobby. With him were Recovery Girl and Izuku, wearing a pale blue hospital gown. He had a difficult expression to read. Remorse, regret, vexed, driven, frustrated. "Midoriya, you okay?" Izuku looked at his scarred hand before answering his teacher. "Eri undid the damage, and Recovery Girl healed me the best she could. I'm fine, sir." his voice was serious and lacked much emotion. 'Physically, he's fine, but...'

"You should go back to your room and rest up. You just had a surgery last night, so you shouldn't be stressing yourself." Recovery Girl said. "Yes ma'am. Tell everyone they did incredibly." Izuku walked back to his room while clutching his chest. He remembered the battle with the fused monstrous villain. 'My body was ripped apart and put back together over and over again. I don't know if I'm really healthy or dreaming on my deathbed.' He remembered the massive evisceration he got on his chest. The closest he came to dying. He could feel his lungs, ribs and heart rupturing.

His chest felt strange after the battle, and the doctors insisted on surgery. They found minimal damage and patched him up internally. Because of that, he had to stay longer than anyone else. If he didn't have Eri, he would certainly have died, just as Nighteye predicted. 'Nighteye...' He still remembered seeing Mirio's distraught face when his mentor was pierced. He felt bad that he wasn't there to say goodbye.

As he rode the elevator to his floor, he felt his right leg that had disintegrated, his arms that were smashed to pieces, and his chest that was ripped open. 'That pain was on a whole nother level. Being broken down, torn to shreds, and put back together, but still having the scars.' He stopped as he looked through the glass of a quarantined patient. 'This is the kind of agony you had endure, isn't it?' He spent a few minutes staring at Eri's sleeping form, her cheeks still red with a fever. He was somewhat glad to still be in the hospital with her. After getting a taste of what she'd been through with Chisaki, it was difficult to imagine leaving her.

Eventually, he made it back to his room. He sat down on his hospital bed, and surveyed his body. His arms were about the same, but his leg had crack-like scars. 'Shigaraki...' He opened his gown a bit, and saw the large scar running diagonally from his stomach to his collarbone. It was shaped like a jagged spear. 'Overhaul and the surgery...' He lied down on his back and stared up at the ceiling. That's when the door to his room opened.

"I'm feeling okay, nurse, thank you." Izuku said, not knowing who it really was. The door closed, and suddenly he felt a warm weight on his stomach. "I think we both know that's not true." He looked up and saw Momo's gorgeous face, instantly feeling revitalized. "Mo!?" She stood up next to his bed, leaned down and kissed him on the lips. "What are you doing here?" he sat up and asked. "After seeing the news, how could I not be here for my favorite patient? Recovery Girl allowed it once your body was stable." And the hospital director gave her clearance.
