Chapter: 13

Must study crafty people
Dale and I are sitting in a congested area that is crowded with the students of the school. They are just having lunch, chatting, or playing so loudly like every week that has passed.
Dale is already able to be here at the school, but he still needs to splint his leg and use the crutches for a while. Right now, he is eating some nuggets beside me while I'm just taking a mashed potato into my mouth, while our eyes keep looking at the person who joined the lunch table with us for the first time.
"Okay... I think I get it." Maddison said while writing down the numbers on the paper, while the other of her hands is taking a piece of green apple to take a bite.
In the past class, Dale and I were learning writing while Maddison took a speaking class in the room next to us. We met and were greeted during the time that we changed the class before getting into the room. Maddison had a problem with math homework that she needed to submit on Wednesday, which is the same math class as mine, so she asked Dale and me to explain to her some parts of the homework that she was still confused about. In the end, three of us are here to revise the math's homework on the center table of the cafeteria like this.
"Am I right? The answer is the negative number, right?" She said while moving the paper towards us to check.
"Yes, with this answer, I answered the negative number as well." I said.
"You're doing it right, Maddy." And Dale confirmed her for another voice. She smiled with relief before moving the paper back and doing one more question, which is the last one. I look at her as her hand is writing before my phone trembles while the notification in the message box shows up.
'Are you in the cafeteria?' It was from Randall. I looked at the screen phone and then turned to look at the person beside me. Dale looked at the thing I held as well before he raised his brows in questioning.
Yesterday, I went to Dale's house, like I texted him on the last Saturday. I told Dale everything, whether it was something about Barry, my mother and I quarreled, or something between Randall and me with our relationship and something immoderate that we did. And I didn't forget to tell him about the time that I made an indiscreet remark about talking about dating with him when we were in that car.
Something that made Dale dissatisfied the most wasn't about Randall, like I thought, but it was the time I argued with my mom and then walked down the street with no plan and didn't ask him for help. Dale repined me for a very long sentence when he knew that I had walked and cried alone along the path at night like that, and also in downtown. When I thought of it again, it was no less dangerous.
For the other part of that matter, Dale seemed a bit shocked when he heard that Randall asked me to stay in my house. I wasn't surprised that Dale would be shocked like that, because it was not something that I expected to happen as well, so I'm not gonna blame him. I think this kind of situation never ever happened in Dale's thought that his best friend would have a deep relationship with someone hot like Randall McCormack.
Besides that, Dale complained to me a bit about his concern. From what I heard, it might be because Dale still didn't trust Randall that much. In Dale's eyes, Randall was a quiet, popular kid who was very flirtatious and had many non-serious sweeties. He didn't think of stopping me from being in a relationship with Randall, but he just told me to take better care of myself, and I need to prepare my mind better than I did when I thought of jumping into this relationship with Randall.
