Chapter 5

Ch 5
Cat POV
I was walking with Ella when I nudged her and I called out to JC and H across the Glade.
"What?" they responded I yelled loud enough so everyone could hear,"Hey H do you like Minho?" I saw both her and Minho blush even though they weren't near each other
"Awweee that is so cute they're blushing" I yell.
then Ella comes in and joins me "JC do you like Clint" I see her muffle a laugh and she and H smile which me and Ella saw. In their eyes was a strange look, almost like mischief
"uh Ella do you see their eyes?" I say, more than a little nervous.H comes over to me and replies somewhat loudly "You better run like your life depends on it because it does"
then I see Minho come over, "Hey that's my line" he complained. Then me and Ella take of running! Ella starts running with JC on their tail and H not to far behind Me "Cat" Ella somewhat whispers "make it to the deadheads and sprint no matter what happens, okay!" she exclaims. We reach the deadheads and she says "3...2....1....RUNN" then I say to Ella "split paths 3...2...1...Split"
I hear H "I'll go after Cat you go after Ella" I run even faster, still I'm getting tired and hungry. the growing child needs food! then I spotted a tall tree then I start sprinting towards it then out of nowhere Newt appears as soon as I started climbing the tree.
then H and Newt start talking as H leaves Newt tells me "Jump down Cat I don't want you getting hurt" "ready newt, 3..2...1..." I jumped doing a couple flips I landed in his arms bridal style. Of course I landed like this, I thought to myself.
"hey Newt" I ask.
"what" was his reply.
"how do you always come out of nowhere when we do something wrong?"
"Well you could say I have a 6th sense for when you do something wrong" Newt finally set me down. Then I see H and out of nowhere she pinned me down. I start struggling and Newt says "hey Cat remember what you said to H,the entire glade witnessed it. I think it's time to get revenge for H, Cat are you as ticklish as H has told me?"
With that I start begging "no please Newt don't! I hate it please!" and with that he takes his fingers and lightly scratch my stomach I start laughing. as I'm trying to buck Newt of off me it reveals my back and exposes my bare stomach which Newt decided to stroke my back with a stick?!? And after a tortuous 5 minutes he let me go and said "don't let me catch you doing something wrong again because the consequences could be worse" as he wiggled his fingers.
"oh brother."I murmured

Ella's POV
I start running JC is almost caught up to me I really think she watched to much castle and law and order SVU (I don't own Castle or Law and Order SVU), she knows strategies and she will try to catch me. then all of a sudden I see a huge branch sticking up in my path and to my dismay I trip over it. I see JC can't stop then she falls and topples over me does a roll and immediately gets back up. then I see Thomas, he came over and said "What's up Ella"
"uh the sky." I reply blankly then Thomas came over to me and pokes my side. I raise an eyebrow and say, "What are you doing?"
"Testing to see if you're ticklish. I guess not." he replies.
"Sorry to disappoint." I say as he pulls me to my feet. We turn to JC, who is glaring daggers at me when we hear Cat's laughter through to dead heads. "Truce to go laugh at Cat?" I ask her.
She thinks for a moment then nods saying, "She was the one who started it so, you're off the hook. For now."
--After that (still Ella POV)----
The four of us meet up in the homestead. "Ready for operation revenge?" I ask and they nod smiling.
"Let's get started." I say, grinning evilly.
Cat goes and knocks out Gally and ties him up. She brings him back and she and H tickle him. I smirk, who would've thought mr-tough-guy was so ticklish. "so Gally what's your deep dark secret,tell us." JC says.
"okay okay alright. it's just that I've been insecure about everything that has happened since I got here. There happy! Can I go now?"
Then Newt says "insecure, eh Gally?" My eyes widen, I never noticed his arrival.
Gally gives him the death stare. "how long have you been listening?"
" Oh Gally I also heard you're insanely ticklish." He says as he pokes Gally stomach
"so, basically the entire time." H says.
"newt was your 6th sense tingling." Cat asked.
He replied "yes cat and what did I tell you would happen next time?"
"uhh... Ella save me."
"it's okay cat you're off the hook for now. besides he deserved it now it's my turn to ask the questions."
"sorry JC." I tell her. "looks like your interrogation is over."
---line break cuz Gally just gets humiliated---
I was working with the trackhoes (still need a better name) when Alby called me and the others to one of the maze doors. "Since you four are the only ones crazy enough not to object to this, you'll be going with Minho to inspect the Griever he and Thomas squished between the walls." He tells us and we leave with Minho.
The trip there is silent but I don't miss the fact that Minho and H run next to each other. Wether or not that's an accident or purposeful is debatable but you can't miss the millisecond long blush on their faces.
When we reach the dead Griever JC says, "Okay, that's just gross."
"Yeah... Who's gonna touch it?" I ask. It oozes a yellowish liquid- more like a slime- and some of its legs stick out in different directions. No doubt about it not being dead.
Cat pulls off a piece of a vine and ties it around a leg. She pulls on it and the leg comes flying at her. "That's one way to inspect it." JC says.
We poke around it for a while when Minho looks at his watch and says "Shuck! The doors are closing soon!" And then we're running back the way we came, Cat lags behind because she wanted to bring part of the leg she pulled off to find more about it. I don't realize we've left her behind until we rush into the Glade
