What Therians Are:
-Therians are poeple who non physically identify as an animal, some believe they have had past lives as that animal(s) but you don't have to believe about past lives to be a Therian. And being a Therian is not just a LOVE FOR THE ANIMAL or a CONECTION with the animal, its an IDENTITY.
-The animals a Therian identifies as are called theriotypes, the amount of the theriotypes one has is how many souls they have inside them. You don't have to know what your theriotype is immediately, or ever, YOU know you have an animal soul and it doesn't matter whether you know what it is.
What Other Hearteds Are:
Other Hearteds are people who believe they have an animal soul but don't identify as it. Like theriotypes, other hearted have heartedtypes, which like theriotypes, are the animals inside of the individual. Again, you don't need to know what your heartedtype is, because why do you have to? The point that counts is that you have an animal soul.
Lets Look Into The Differences To Furries:
Oh boy, LOTS of people think Furries and alterhumans are the same... Well they ARNET!
-Furries are people who like animalistic or anthropomorphic animals, furries are known for their fursuits. Furries do NOT identify as animals, being a furry is a HOBBY, being a Therian is an IDENTITY.
Quadrobics and Gear:
Lots of alterhumans do an activity called "quadrobics" which is when the individual goes on all fours and moves in animalistic ways, eg. a horse alterhuman is galloping across their backyard, a lynx alterhuman is pouncing on their stuffed animals or pouncing on snow.
You DONT have to be an alterhuman to do quadrobics, its is a sport and doesn't make you an alterhuman and doesn't make you any less an alterhuman
Alterhumans sometimes like to wear gear, gear can be anything from a mask of an animal to wings of a bird or insect. Gear is not specifically made for alterhumans, like jewelry is not specifically for girls (anymore :') you don't need gear to be an alterhuman, gear is entirely an accessory and anyone can wear or not wear it.
