In the end they decided to just share a hotel room for a week and spend most nights out on the town, with the seminar planned for Wednesday evening. Brian of course collapsed into the bed as soon as he arrived, deciding to get some shut eye before their first wild night.
In his dreams he walked alone down a wooded path, weights in his hands slowing his progress, yet he could not imagine putting them down, for fear he would fly away without them. And so he trudged on, tired and sore and lonely, seeing others pass him by unburdened, but all he could think was he'd rather suffer on the ground with them than risk weightlessness and never be this close again.
He snapped awake with an unusual sense of urgency, for a moment unsure of his surroundings as only darkness came through the window over looking his place of rest. He knew this was not home, this was not his bed pile, he was a stranger here, anxious and afraid.
That is, until he recognized the noise he had been hearing to be that of a shower, and everything came flooding back with the realization that Chadwick was readying for the night, as he should too. He made way to the cabinets in the room, surprised to find them full of a variety of food, realizing Chadwick must have gone out and stocked up while he slept.
A piece of him thought he should feel bad for not helping, but that piece was far too quiet, as he only thought of the many options he had before him, seemingly stuck with a thousand decisions, finally settling on familiarity. He grabbed a pack of pop tarts and hopped onto the counter, as he started every day.
Looking about their room he could tell it was nice, far beyond his price range, but cozy for the two of them, the kitchen he sat in having a long stone counter and marble top table, 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and thick comforters, only separated by their shared bathroom, all in all a nicer place than brian's own home.
He finished his snack about the time Chadwick emerged from the shower, dressed in a deep red button up with black leather pants, still drying his hair with the towel that lied wrapped around his neck. Brian could not help but think that he looked really good, his outfit of course.
Chadwick gestured to the now empty shower, to which brian waved him away, taking the bottle of pheromone cologne from his pocket and spraying himself with it, stopping after only 4 sprays at seeing the stern look being directed his way. Seemingly satisfied, Brian put on his shoes and was out the door without a second glance, fully assuming Chadwick would simply follow him, and assuming correctly.
