paige's pov
it has been 10 minutes, i finally brought myself to wake her up. i shook her gently, still running my hands through her hair as she finally stirred.
"hey there sleepyhead, nice nap?"
"mhm..." she hummed.
"youre cute ma." i praised, caressing her cheeks.
she hid her face in the pillow, clearly blushing from what i said.
i chuckled, turning her head by the chin to face me. "as much as i want to have you in my bed for as long as i could, we gotta start moving or geno's gonna kill us."
"fineeee" she groaned
i chuckled at her groan, then getting up from my bed, pulling her up with me as well.
i admired the height between us, she was a few inches shorter, but i didnt mind it though. most basketballers are taller anyways.
i placed an arm around her waist, leading us out of the dorm and to the carpark.
we reached my car, and she was about to open the door, but i pulled her back by the wrist to me instead. "thats my job ma." i leaned down closer to her "should put those hands to better use next time hm?" i teased and her cheeks turned pink
"cute." i muttered, closing the door gently after she got in, then going to the driver's seat.
we reached the sports auditorium not long after, this time, she waited for me to open her door. i smiled, then getting out of the driver's seat to the passenger's side.
we walked to the entrance and upon entering she spotted a guy, he was big and muscular, bigger than me definitely. she ran up to him and hugged him. my jaw dropped. she had a boyfriend?
there were a few other guys around him as well, they were tall and big as well. i recognised some of them. they were ice hockey players. now i recalled something. was that why she was at the ice rink? to meet her boyfriend? i heard some of them saying captain towards who mya was hugging so i assumed he was captain of the ice hockey team. how did she even manage to pull someone like him?
mya came back to me shortly after with a smile on her face. i faked a smile, not wanting her to notice my disappointment or jealousy.
the auditorium doors then opened, all the athletes started swarming the auditorium.
i thought that things couldnt get any worse but it did.
